Hi, new to the forum. I have a 27" and 43" Husky Pro rolling toolbox. Made in Canada early 2000's by Beach Industries. Trying to confirm and get an approximate value for resale. I have seen a few but no Pro versions. Any insight would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Beach / Beach Industries, Smiths Falls, Ontario, CA / est. 1949, acquired by Stanley 1987 / https://lindaseccaspina.wordpress.com/2019/01/28/people-of-smiths-falls-russ-beach/ / https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/beach-industries-tool-cheat.436893/ / https://www.garagejournal.com/forum/threads/beach-industries-tool-cheat.436893/ /

We've previously attempted to ascertain "market values" of various types of tool chests, but because there are so many variables involved, there doesn't seem to be a way to establish any sort of "baseline".
Age, condition, brand, geographic location are all factors.

The only way to even make a wild guess is to check "sold" listings on ebay, but you're not going to find top chests and rollaways on ebay because of the shipping costs that would be involved.
Try checking local Craigslist and Facebook Marketplace listings and see if you can make sense of any of it (although you're working with a relatively obscure manufacturer that went out of business almost 40 years ago.

Thank you, I have Googled them worldwide under images, video, shopping, etc. to no avail. Can’t even see a single Husky Pro.
It’s basically a rebadge of a MAC toolbox from Beach Industries, which closed in 2008 or so.
Was hoping to find a few comparisons for resale.

^ You're running up against the same hurdles all of us have found - on various brands. I currently have over a dozen boxes for sale. Am I high? Am I low? If you read through one of those threads (the Waterloo thread), you'll see I sold a big stack for three times what other members thought it was worth.
So.... not a clue.

Beach was owned by Stanley who made boxes for Mac, Husky, Craftsman until closing around 2007/2008. MAC and Husky identical other than badges from what I can see.

They were owned by Stanley but that's not the style of box Beach made.

In either case check out what similar ones in size go for locally, they'd be typical used box value and it can be surprising what things go for, both high and low.

Found this as well. The Husky boxes are stamped Made in Canada and appear to have been made by Beach mid 2000’s before they closed and Home Depot acquiring Husky brand and moving production overseas.

IIRC the original Beach company went out of business a long time ago then re-emerged. I am guessing someone bought the name and started a new company in the same old location or something like this.....

These boxes are from the new Beach. I have some older Beqch boxes and they are great (but not as functional as new boxes).

I am guessing these are better than the old ones but wouldn't expect much/any price bump for the name

Beach was known to make some but again that's not the style they made. That is the correct looking phone number so it was probably something through Stanley. They would have had other sources also and Beach wasn't the only company making boxes in Canada.

I can't find a picture but when they got back into making them again they were more square like this. I think a few people here on the forum bought them. It seems like there were some other companies putting the name on other boxes also, I don't know if they were sold in Canada only and trying to take advantage of the familiar name.

The last boxes they made in the 90s/2000s that didn't look like their traditional ones sucked. I looked at one once and the metal was thin, the drawers twisted. Guess that was downfall from Stanley.

You cant trust the AI answers. Possible the AI read your post here in GarageJournal and is quoting you to answer you...

The AI doesnt do a good job of telling you the source of information making the information it provides worse than useless.

When Stanley purchased Beach, they didn’t just produce the old Beach products, which were dying anyway, This was one reason Beach sold. Stanley produced their own products, and moved tooling into the old Beach facility, hence the differences in style. Canada had favorable exchange rates at the time, which Stanley found favorable. I swear I saw some Proto chests that were made in Canada, but I can’t find a reference to it. Anyone have a Canada made Proto? That new “Beach” enterprise opened for a minute and I’m not sure they produced a box. There is a thread on here about them.

I can’t find a picture of a single 2015 Beach, but here is the Tread about them. Between the announcement and the closure was a year. Lots of good vintage Beach stuff in that thread though.
