Yes I like the bench top idea out of laminated wood very strong! I do think I would like a stainless skin on top though. This is my area I want to replace the bench with another bench with larger drawers and all stainless top and all roll away and cover the whole corner with stainless peg board if they make it. Its about 11 feet each way. Believe it or not another orange Camaro box too !:bounce: Excuse the mess (teenager)

7's the key number here. Think about it. 7-Elevens. 7 dwarves. 7, man, that's the number. 7 chipmunks twirlin' on a branch, eatin' lots of sunflowers on my uncle's ranch.

With the liftmaster system how close could the rail be to the ceiling? closer then what I have at the end bay in my garage??

Awesome garage! Nice cars too!

Here's a link to the LM3800 manual. Page 3 has the minimum spacing requirements. I'd paste them here, but the PDF says I'm not allowed. The center of the torsion bar has to be at least 3" away from the ceiling, and 2.5" from the wall.

.....stainless peg board if they make it.

Thought I would help you out if you haven't seen it yet. I am looking to get some stainless shelves and came across these. Ops, just looked again and they are aluminum not stainless. Maybe they will work for what you want.

Oh, your house looks great. I was thinking 2500 sq/ft and 4 car garage would be ideal for me but maybe 7 car would be better. :bounce:

How big is your house?

Thanks for the input I had a look a those very nice indeed ! But yeah I am stuck on stainless. I seen some at another garage on the weekend now on the hunt on who made them, they were custom cabinets but still the right idea for me.
The house is a strong 6000 sq ft ! Too big now but were stuck with it with kids gone, but does give me more garage space hahaha !

Stainless pegboard

6,000 sq/ft?!? I wouldn't have guessed that from the pictures. But I live in Texas where there are no basements so you probably have a lot of space there.

The system won't let you get closer to the ceiling unless you change out your track. They make a track for low headroom. The curved rail is a double rail so it kicks the top section of the door over before it hits the ceiling. Then the door will follow on a lower rail. This lets the door go to something like 6" from the ceiling when fully open.
