This is my first post and I apologize if this is in the wrong space.
I am building a 12 X 16 barn style shed (Shedking.net plans). Walls are almost complete and will soon be moving on to the trusses and roof. There will be smallish loft on one end. I plan to use hurricane ties to connect the roof trusses to the walls. Walls are 16" OC and the trusses are 24" OC.
My question is related to timing of adding roof sheathing. I can't imagine the trusses will be overly stable without sheathing installed and I am wondering if leaving the trusses unsupported for several days is OK. Was thinking I might add a few 2 X 4's across the trusses to provide some support (probably 3 2 X 4 X 8 overlapped per side). Does this seem sufficient? It would probably only be without sheathing for 3-5 days.
Thanks in advance and I'm happy to provide any additional details if needed.
