Shortest 3/8 " drive extension?

I know tekton makes a mini extension set that is likely the world record for the shortest. But they are chrome. Does anyone make mini impact extensions? What is the shortest. I was in the situation where my 3/8 extension was to long so I had to use chrome. Had I had a shorter impact extension I could have probably used an impact and it would have been faster. I know Harbor Freight has a 3/8 drive one that is 1 and 3/4 long. Are there shorter ones out there?

You can also switch over to a deep socket for more length without going to an extension. Sometimes the deeps fall right inbetween a normal socket and adding the short extension.

You could also use a 1/2” to 3/8” adapter as an extension. Gotta get creative.

Chrome extension fits on an impact just fine.

Snap on makes a short impact extension as well.

My forty year old Craftsman and sixty year old SK chrome short extensions work fine on an impact, although I typically just reach for a deeper impact socket in a case like this.

The HF one is probably to compete with the Snap-On 3/8” IMX11 which is 1-3/4” as well. That is the shortest I have and it’s unused since me purchasing the set it came with.

I got a short 3/8 extension when I was a teenager. came with a spark plug socket & wrench set. it's about as short as can be . not been used a lot but it has been handy

What length socket are you using? If standard, go up to a mid-length/semi-deep.

I really like this set. That wobble extension has been a life saver on a few occasions for me.
I also have the Tekton set and it has worked great too

This is very delicious. Never thought of using a 3/8 to 3/8 adapter as an extension, but that would do exactly that and act as a mini extension. Any idea what the overall length is? I might have to get one of these sets. Looking online I couldn't find the dimensions. Do you have this set? It seems like 3/8 to 3/8 adapters are not to common!

I was working on a 2014 Acura TSX brake caliper bracket bolt on the top. I tried a Capri semi-deep but it was to long and interfered with the stud, nut, and cotter pin, for the upper ball joint. A shallow socket would have worked, but I needed a very stubby extension, and the smallest I had was 3 inches lol. I also tried a wobble socket but that was about the same length as the semi-deep and also wouldn't work. So I just gave up and brought out a ratchet. Had I had a impact setup that worked I could have gotten it off faster.
