Hopefully one returns in the next 5-6 years.

In the interim this will have to do. The battery box turned brake stand is ready. This will be a nice multipurpose tool.
I definitely got to practice my welding. Like the angle for the casters, the top needed an extra 3/4” on each end.
Another plus is the cart that the brake was on is now temp storage for some heavy plate.
I’m seeing more and more floor space. Yay!

Hope you have your steel toe safety sandals on when moving that cart with the steel circles. I have visions of a sudden stop of the cart and one of those rolling off!

Yesterday was spent unloading my pump at the shop and unloading John’s (Toolfool) at his house. When finished, he treated us to a tasty bbq lunch. Back at the shop, I wanted to lighten the pump. Couldn’t get the heavy mixing valves out but did remove the hoses and the copper lines.
The copper will be used as a cooling manifold for the air compressor. I need a hose for my vintage pump so one goes there. The others I figure something out.

This week I decided to help stimulate the economy with visits to two estate sales. First one came across a needed air rivet gun. Definitely better than the air chisel I have been using.
The second one, I went only looking for a ladder and ended up with several machinists measuring tools, a nice wall lumber rack, 2 sheets of Baltic Birch plywood and the most useful, a wall fan.
Cleaned the decades of grunge off fan and pulled chain pull switch out because chain was broken inside switch.
With the goodies put away, a switch on the shopping list, it was housecleaning time. my pile of plate and sheet steel was blocking the plywood storage area so new goods were leaned against shelves, benches and other things.
After some sorting and shuffling, the corner is looking good, everything sorted by type/size and in its place. . And now I can get to this frig and start work on Christine
An unexpected plus was the brake now has a permanent home.

Today was supposed to be the start of my tonneau repaint but the Tahoe wouldn’t start. Started last weekend. My typical luck.
Well back to the fan project. Appears the fan is set to plug into a switched outlet. I brought two different pull switches and one allowed me to use pull chain as off. Now I have 1930’s AC in lift bay.
Another quick project was mounting this readable drill/tap chart on some foam board. A lot better than micro card I’ve been using.
