How heavy is that cabinet? How strong do you think dolly is when angle is welded that way? I always tend to do 45 miter cuts on my angle but it's a real PIA for fitting them. I'm wondering if those **** welds are strong enough. I know it's much much easier.

Heavy, 550 lbs empty. Caster are 250lbs ea. I definitely agree on the miters. There are gussets on all four corners from its previous life. I just cut the long legs down to fit the cabinet. I just need something temporary until I decide on layout and if I even want it portable. So far most things are on casters since I'm always tweaking where things go.

550 empty is good in my book book cause things I made dollies for is not that heavy. Plus I'm using bed frame so working with it is a PIA also.

This angle is probably twice as thick as bed frame and with three pieces meeting at the corner, I think it will work.

A little more progress on getting things organized and in their proposed final spot. I have the new large table in place of my old welding table and the tall Lista placed next to the short one.

Looking at this picture reminds me of the "got to get it" addiction that is caused by being a member of GJ. See how many things you can identify that are "had to have" items inspired by GJ.

After gathering dust for the last three months, my goal this week is to get the MaxJax installed. Tonight I started with testing the layout. I'll pull the truck in tomorrow to see how things look. After reading some of the problems with the anchors, I guess I have subconsciously been avoiding drilling the holes. Concrete is plenty thick, I have a brand new SDS bit so we'll see.

Hopefully the install is uneventful so I can finally finish the walls and ceiling in this area. I'll keep you posted.

Is that an MTD with a single cylinder Briggs? If so, and you were somewhat local, I'd take you up on that. I use the tires for making custom kids wagons, and I need a starter for the one I'm making into a garden (non-mowing) tractor for Robin.

It's a Yardman by MTD and I believe a 12 hp Briggs. Starter worked fine. Engine slung a rod. Your welcome to the starter.

Doesn't seem like much has been done around the garage except clean and organize. I'm ready to get the "stuff" out of here. I did start on the MaxJax install. I had some problems while drilling some of the holes in the concrete. Ended up using epoxy for extra insurance. Still have to bleed and test the lift with some weigh on it.

One thing I have to stop is looking at auctions, ebay and craigslist. On a fluke, I did a search on craiglist for "pepper" and this cooler popped up. Surprisingly it was local so it came home with me. Another resto project added to list.

Yes the patina will stay awhile. Finishing the shop then the vises and DP comes first.

Thanks all. I transported the cooler on its side so I'm giving it time to settle before plugging it in. The fan spins freely so I'm hoping compressor works too.

I plugged the cooler and she ran. The cooler finally made it down to 38*. Now I need to find some new gaskets since the existing ones are hard and flat.

Can you use gaskets off a recent fridge and cut them down? Robin just bought a new gasket for the house fridge. Maybe a small shop fridge will have the right size.

I found a website that carries vintage frig gaskets so will try there first. I'm sure a new frig gasket would work too!

Why it do the old car patina thing? Give it a wash down with CLR to remove the surface rust and polish it with a good cleaner wax to clean and protect it (some) from more rust.

What're you going to do the trailer?

It's a boat trailer now with 4x4's and plywood deck. Cheap and easy. I'm going to box the frame, shorten the the tongue, deck it in wood or metal. I want to make it a versatile motorcycle, flatbed, stake side trailer. I've got a bunch of good ideas from GJ so I'm working on the design.
I have a 7x12 cargo trailer but really miss having an open trailer. A project for this coming fall or winter.

Boy I guess I don't have any luck with the left side tire on my trailers. On the way to mow some grass, I thought my ****** was taking a dump. Thankfully it was this. I thought my Tahoe spare would work but noooo.....5" vs 4 3/4" darn. I found a used tire and was back in business. The flat was caused by a sheet of plywood rubbing against the tire.

Well I got the grass mowed and it back to the shop only to see water running out from under the door. This isn't good.
I opened the door and the office was an 1" deep in water. I immediately checked the bathroom because I've been having issues with the toilet. Well there goes the rest of the afternoon!!!
Break out the push broom, squeegee, shop vac, fans and air hose.

I have another rule about 3's. On any project I quit for the day after the second blood-letting 'cause the third one almost always involves stitches. Stitching me up wastes the rest of the day.
