Safety tip: don’t wear clothes when using a wire cup...you won’t end up with a bunch of wire stuck in your clothes and it’s free acupuncture.

For the sake of the children [and adults?] in the neighborhood, unplug the garage door opener and close the blinds.

There's a tradeoff with this approach. Rust stains in the washing machine or blood and rust stains in the shower. Your call!

What’s been happening Shorty? You didn’t get caught for wire wheeling in your preferred method of non dress did you. I’ve heard there cracking down on indecent exposure up there.:lol_hitti

Or did a granny come by and see ya and take you hostage?:lol_hitti

I’ve been working on my sander. Trying to figure out how to mount a B&S 22HP twin on my sander. Plus with the door closed and blinds shut, I keep falling asleep.

Saturday morning was spent getting the last of the furniture the Mrs. found. Having more room in the storage unit and my shrink wrap, the move went easily and is now in place as our hutch/bar.
Then it was off to the shop to cut up the 10’ rack.

I have a CM circular saw dedicated for metal. As soon as I went to make the first cut, I realized I fabbed the crossbeam based on the 10’ rack on top. Oopsy. Guess how much wider the 10’ rack is?28e9db08a919f2cbe368661c745e1734.jpg

Ended the day with one crossbeam cut, narrowed and welded.

Today was spent knocking out the other crossbeam. During the process, realized the feet were splayed out. Errrrrr. I decided against trying to make the crossbeam removable.

I did end up with some good “free” rectangular and square material. de55ca0f1a16a91e33b348b6892fd2f4.jpg

Good news, this is what the lift bay looks like at 8 pm tonight. c438b1d1e7ce7645830e9732a1356e2e.jpg
The metal rack is in place but I found a few design or fab flaws. First off, welded the plate to high. 97515fb4d0cdb533a99283564a92c176.jpg bolts are supposed to go underneath. Started drilling crossbeam for holes but that didn’t go as quick as I wanted so temporary fix was tap one side for 7/16 bolts. Works but needs work. Another thing I want to change is replacing the swivel casters with fixed. Last, I’d like some type of coupler on the other end for moving it when I’m ready to move.
This switch turns out to be good timing. When I was removing the last panel off the top of the old rack, one post ended up leaning. A light nudge resulted in this. 7df6a236a43f117326d88a12b2d1c210.jpg
Stay tuned for part 2. Same bat time, same bat channel.

Funny guys......
If you look really close at the lift arm on the left rear you’ll see some from several weeks ago.

Tons better and it looks convenient to use too with the open design. It feels good to clean up those nagging messes, doesn't it? I have some of those around my yard that I need to get after sometime.

Mac, trust me, he wasn’t taking pictures of your floor.:pimpflash

Or you could just wait for Craig to stop by ;)
I’m on a diet, besides, if shorty is taking to scrap yard, it should of been there before GJ was even started.:lol_hitti

Not Hooters, or at least in the restaurant sense.
Happy Birthday Shorty.
Here’s a nice Ford for ya!

Thank you all. For a work day birthday it was pretty good. Lunch with coworkers, dinner with mom and a NY elf dropped off an awesome T-shirtIMG_2975.jpg. What’s better than a hot Hooter than a pic of me!!!!

Had some QST this weekend. Replaced the master window switch on my truck. Front passenger and rear driver stopped working. About 15 minutes I was done. Looked receipt and only been sitting on this for 10 months.
Finished up with some demo at mom’s house so we can rent it.

Today switched out a 220v outlet so I could use a borrowed plasma cutter. After some test cuts went to work on my old bench. 63924963430__356B8570-F8CB-4DEF-94ED-3504ADDC5811.jpg
After the first pass, it wasn’t cutting all the way through. Rated at 1/4”, 3/8 was a little much I guess. Looking closer, I found there’s also a sheet of 10ga underneath.
A second pass and hitting a couple spots with a cutoff wheel, it’s in two. IMG_3018.jpg the lower half of bench with vises will be going away so about 9 sqft of new floor space.
