Hey Shorty, thanx for stopping by on Thursday. was great to meet you, I thought that table would never be more than a dog house but it looks like you have other plans....
My heeler keeps looking around for her shelter!

Did you check Shortys truck before he left?🤣🤣

Ready for service.

Elbow grease was the 5 minutes to find this picture online. 🤔 mine won’t be as nice but it will be functional. Due to the rust, I will downgrade capacity from 2200# to #500.

You can replace some of the rust with new metal and with your welding skills  ummmmm..........never mind. :spit:

Shorty, from my quick once over, I think once you scape the rust off, you’ll find it to be fairly sound.

You could scrape and wire brush it, coat with Ospho.

I would drill a hole through the pipe legs to check wall thickness, worst case you might have to replace those, at least thatd keep you out of trouble from a collapse.

I’m having flashbacks to the large object that had you pinned to your shop floor.☹️

Have fun with it, look forward to what you do with it.

Cold? Buffalo is cold, Strouty is cold, we're a little chilly here, you're tepid at worst. No blood shed?!?!?! What are we going to do for this weeks safety meeting?

Buck didn’t show so we’ll see who saws.

Dropped another tree. I watched a video on this technique and so far so good. You cut the wedge , then on back cut straight in trying to keep the center as parallel as possible.

I’ll attempt the largest tree that needs to come down tomorrow. 🤔

Spent about 30 minutes knocking the surface warts off and hitting the top a little with the wire cup. I think with a little buffing, it will look great.

I don’t have a tractor or skid steer so my old beat up lawnmower stepped up to move yesterday’s trunk pieces to the termite area.

Also finished up trimming the branches.

Then it was off to cut down the 85’ pine with 72” circumference. To test out my new technique I put up two stakes about 7’ apart as my target. After cutting the wedge I felt the tree would miss to the left.

Timber!!!! I think this is good enough. 😋

Finally finished up a welding project made up of mostly scrap pieces. This is my pine straw and branch rake.

The main angle is a rusty piece from metal rack, the tow bar is the original fence runner from my CM table saw. Just saw Tractor Supply has a pine straw rake for $400 😳

And being imaginative, for a truck bed tool box, I went Dixie County redneck.

Oh, picked up my mom’s curio and transferred stuff out of the gun cabinet to it.
