Here is my new 56 incher and some drawer shots. Loving it so far! Still need to get all the drawers set up. I think I want to change up the badges too.

What the heck...I'm new here and these threads are what sold me on the HF boxes. I brought this home on New Year's Day. Still removing tools from my smaller Snap On I sold to buy this one. So nothing to really show off inside yet.
I've got my Ernst organizers on order.

Aside from Ebay, is there someplace I can get a matching set of Snap-on metal badges? I would like to rebadge my HF boxes????

How different are the shades of red from the Craftsman box? Anyone have any comparison side by side with the newer glossy General cabs?

Save your money on the snap on badges and just take off the us general badge and leave it badge less. Looks nice with nothing on it!

I'm one to talk tho as I have a snap on vinyl decal on a ********* metal 2 door cabinet I have!

I have 2 of the black tool carts but I have out grown them, my fiance said she would like to throw down half for one of these as an engagement gift. Do you folks like them, how are they holding up. I have a coupon for one of the 44" boxes for 359, and most of the time I go there I get to use my friends 20% discount which really has saved me alot of money over the last year. So I think towards the end of the month Id like to go an get one.

You're working on though quint.
When the box fills up, you'll want to swap for a diffrent socket tray though. Those eat up a lot of room, when you need it.

My wife bought me a 56" Roller Cabinet for Christmas!!!

440 lbs of steel goodness...

To get a "better" new cabinet, you'd need to spend over two grand...

International sells one through Home Depot, $150 and it looks like it will fit.

Light heat gun and carb cleaner. Don't go nuts with the carb cleaner or you will end up with a red rag. Get the snap on name plates from ebay.

This is how I got my us general badges off everything.

thanks, those look pretty good. is there a trick to removing the us general badges without messing anything up?

Take some fishing string behind the badge and use a sawing motion up and down and it will come off in a couple seconds. If u stay tight against the tool box with the string instead of up against the badge...u will barely have any sticky residue left behind. If u do u can scrape it off with ur fingernail. It's barely on there so no need for chemicals. Unless u got some good wax and grease remover that is safe for paint
Honestly a shot of windex n a paper towel is all Ull need

Nice to see HF has finally produced a top box for their 56" roll cabinet. Anyone bought one as of yet?

Bought the top half around Thanksgiving. It's not as great as the bottom, but you can't beat it for the price if bought on sale.

What is that narrow stack of drawers on the far left hand side up against the wall? I'm seeing a double theme.

My father had a company van and when they retired it we took out some things. Its a 4 drawer metal cabinet that got bolted to bulk head of cargo area to store tools or parts. I use it now to store my c claps. I plan on painting it to match someday.

Forgot to add, only have the one compressor on shelf now. The other was a friends a fixed for him but if read part 1 and 2 of my garage it should explain the theme I have in my garage.

What is the side cabinet on the right ? The one with only 5 drawers.

I think he may have played musical drawers between the boxes.

Ah, OK. Yea I read through your garage and saw it in a few different locations. So kinda like a Geneva box? It just looked handy. I wish a company made a ~8" wide side box compared to most full width ~16" wide side boxes. It fits in there real nice.

The side boxes are the same I just moved all the deep drawers to one side. It keeps all my power tools and other large items together.

No modification needed to move them and they will still have double slides.
