Just picked this puppy up for $40 off Craigslist. Did some research and found out they were about $200 new from Pep Boys. Also found it's the same as the Lincoln W93642 but with different side plates (not folded over at the top for strength)

Still a sold jack that the guy only used a couple times. There's still blue paint on the wheels!

That was considered Lincolns economy line jack ( Lighter Frame etc), Still a nice jack and 10x's better than the import jacks, but different than a 93642. Definitely worth $40 bucks..

Good to know. The only thing I don't like about it is that it doesn't start pumping until the handle is at 45 degrees to the floor.

Well there has to be some give in take, If it was the other way around you couldnt get enough upstroke when under the vehicle. You dont see many of those jacks as they were produced when Lincoln was on the way out of the hydraulic business. Congrats again...

Makes sense.

AC Jack

Just to note this feature of the Danish AC floor jack (which I gather from this interesting thread is made in China): the wheels have a rubber "O" ring around them, which keeps them from marring a floor. The rubber of course compresses when load is applied.

Here's some photos of my jack. I just bought ($20) a couple of weeks ago.
It's an AUSCO model D-1901 made in the 30's I think?
I even got the "Service Parts and Prices" list and diagram with it!
Looks like it needs a release screw, that is broken just before the release packing nut.

Welcome to the GJ! Man, that's just a cool jack...looks like a stout little race car. Please tell me that you're planning to restore it. That illustrated parts list will be priceless in helping with dis-assembly/assembly.

Our GJ resident hydraulic jack expert, Hiball may be able to help out with any needed parts to get you going.

Thanks for sharing.

Here is our newest shop jack. It's a Weaver three ton and has the unusual, but very useful feature of being able to steer the front wheels by twisting the lift handle.

Been lookin for a 2-3 ton jack for some time. This one popped up on Atlanta CL last week and I jumped on it. The knuckle and small rear cylinder had been replaced pretty recently. Got the jack and four stands for $200. I was about to spend that on a non USA made jack alone.

That is a nice looking jack and you got a good deal on it. Even better, it is a re-badged Walker 93642 jack that is easy to rebuild if required.

I picked this up on Craigslist two weeks ago. For reference, the truck bed is 6' long. It's got twin air cylinders, and raises about 3' or so. The only thing I can read on the ID plate is "Walker". HiBall, any info?

Thanks for the comments on the old Weaver everyone!

My Dad found that jack on Craigslist and I went back and forth for a day or two trying to decide whether it was worth the trip to go grab it. Looking back I'm very glad I decided to get it.

The tillable front carriage seemed gimmicky at first, but having used it on a few projects and gotten a better feel for how it works, I wouldn't want to be without it now. It's excellent in tight spaces and makes it much easier when you can "drive" the jack into position rather than kick or drag it.

I'm debating doing a cosmetic restoration on the jack, if I do what colors would be appropriate for this jack? The paint I can still see looks to be red, over a green layer, though considering the age both of these colors could be non original. The other option is to leave it as-is as it does have a pretty neat patina. :)

Ok, I'm a bit embarrassed to show off my jacks to GJ.

Two chinese imports. Duralast 2.5T SUV, and HF 3T. The Duralast has had a small leak from the piston pump after 2 years. I've replaced the o-ring in it twice - with no better results. Still lifts and hold the load though air gets in the system way too easily. Won't buy this again. The HF has only been around for 6 months. Would have liked a jack that was longer, but I couldn't resist the sale....

Here's most of what's in my garage.

From biggest to smallest:
Blackhawk SJ-18
Arcan 2 Ton
Central Hydraulics 2 1/4 ton
No name blue jack - the label says distributed by Dart Drug Corp

The first 3 work. The blue one doesn't, but it may just need oil. I have fond memories of Dart Drug growing up. Eating packs of Spree candy until my tongue was 6 different colors. Sitting on the floor and reading all the magazines. Waiting in line to play Pac-Man when it first came out. Good times!

rsz_floor_jacks.jpg

Left to right:
Titan 3 ton
Drednaut NO951 (also says Auto Spec Mfg Co St. Joseph Mich)
WH273 is cast into the base: can't find anything else on it, but then I haven't cleaned it either
Rees No 102
Can't read the label on the blue one

b100, Wow.....Nice collection!! I really like the well used look of your Blackhawk. I'm sure if it could talk, it would have a story or two to tell. Do you have any background history on how it was used? Thanks for sharing.

Very little. The guy I got it from had a shop behind his house, but it was dark and cold when I got there so we didn't talk long. He said he had two other jacks and didn't use this one anymore. The ad had been up on Craigslist in PA for about 3 weeks when I saw it. He said he had people e-mailing from all over the country, but didn't want to ship. He even commented that it must be some kind of collector item because of the interest it was getting.

When he responded to my e-mail it was a Sunday night, my wife was out of town, and my 5 year old son was in jammies getting ready for bed. I figured he needed an intro to the roadtrip.:3gears: After getting in the car he said "yaaayyy we're getting a jack....what's a jack?" I told him its the thing you stand on and go up in the air when I pump the handle. He agreed that we needed another one.:D

Yes, there were two different sellers. I got mine about two months ago from just north of Gettysburg, PA. It was only $50. The ad you posted is about 3 hours north of that. It looks like it's it good shape. Hopefully someone here ends up getting it for a reasonable price.

just purchased this forklift jack ... sure could have used this last week when I was working on my Case 1845b skid steer.

no markings, still trying identify. closest match is Esco 4 ton, but internal parts are different from exploded diagrams.

puking fluid from pump up piston seal... naturally seller claimed jack was working perfect. still at $85 ... it's worth fixing.

took it apart thinking I'd find O rings, but found this jack uses a cup seal. spun seal and put it back together. it's now leaking less...

need help with ID so I can order a seal kit. there's a local seal supplier I can hopefully match seal up at too.

Two aluminum China jacks among the clutter I'm slowly getting out of the garage... The blue HF one is distinctly not as good as the much more costly red one. I need a lower profile jack... I use the handles from these for cheating sometimes. I know I shouldn't, but it's convenient.
They sell the red one here in New Zealand, I've always wondered about it as the front 'wheel' seems narrower than having two normal wheels... what is it like to use please, and how stable is it?

this is the jack I use to lift the back of my Trike,
This is very cool, I've not seen anything like it!

Here are mine:bounce:. I just picked up the first one on Craigslist for $25 but don't really know anything about it. The nameplate on the side says it's a 2 ton JET, model JSJ-2. Anyone (possibly Hiball) have any info on it? The other unit is a 1.5 ton Watco It's been in the family for years and has always always been good to me but like the JET, i'm not to familiar with Watco's background. Thanks in advance for any info.
