I don't think that torin one looks like the snap on one. If anything it looks like the standard low profile ones that harbor freight has been selling for years

Surprised they sold it to you. Supposedly it's not supposed to be on the floor for a couple more weeks. Although, it looks like you can order from the website, so maybe it doesn't matter.

My buddy said they didn't even get the "planogram" for the Jack yet. He had no issue selling me one tho. He did say the other one wouldn't be put on the floor for awhile

More pics. This thing is awesome. Already bled it just for my own satisfaction. Already had it out lifting up my car.

Just finished rebuilding/repainting one of my shops service jacks. Thought I would get a few pictures of it before I release it to the mechanics who will ruin all my work! LOL

That's OK I got about 3 more to do that are in our boneyard of equipment.

Used the Rust-oleum Masey Furgesson red from a spray can, that stuff sticks real good but pay attention to the warning that you can do a second coat within 1 hour of the first coat or after 48 hours. Tried hitting the pump at about 24 hours and got a unexpected crackle finish!

Thanks everyone for all their contributions on this board about floor jack rebuilding. Used much of the information I found here!

What the hey, while I'm here, I just recently got a hold of these two Walker floor jacks (started a thread here) to go along with the Harbor Freight aluminum and Daytona jacks I have. They both work but are going to need a rebuild. I definitely will get them done and have little doubt they will be with me and working long after either of the other two.

Also, pictured below, I have a red 3 ton floor jack - not even sure of the brand and I've looked all over what's left of the labels on it and don't see one. I'm fairly sure I got it at a Northern Tool ~18 yrs or so ago.

Hein Warner 1.5 ton. Rebuilt this myself with help from GJ and Hiball.

I bought this Milwaukee Model 20 service jack in the early 1990's at a garage sale for $10. I didn't know what it was at the time. Last summer (before I found GJ and Hiball) I had it rebuilt at Voris Hydraulics. Need to pretty it up and paint it tho.

Just finished rebuilding these two. Put them side by side. They are almost the same size. The Snap On has a bit longer lift arm, but smaller block.

Hey I have a question where did you buy the black rubber adapter that's on the 3t Daytona? I was going to buy a hockey puck and modify it. But yours looks like it made very sturdy

It's an "ABN 5-½” Jack Pad Universal Large Cross Slotted Frame Rail Protector" off Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01H46MXO8/?tag=atomicindus08-20

It definitely is 'very sturdy'. I needed something so I wouldn't crush the pinch weld on the car. I also thought about slotting a hockey puck but I'm glad I got this instead.

I spotted these monster antique Duff Barrett railroad jacks, No, 4 and No. 2, at one of my flea market stops on Friday. Still there today. I have NO relationship to the vendor. This is not a sales ad. Way out of my price league. There may be room to haggle, especially if they are still there tomorrow.

I know this is an old thread and you may have the info on this but......it is Walker 10 ton model 780.

The old style had a leather piston cup, newer versions have the rubber u cup.
Great jack but be careful torquing the head to the base tube, they can crack rendering the jack useless or have a forever leaking reservoir.

The green one is a Weaver model WA-72....2 ton I believe, the 4 ton is the next size up. Easy jack to rebuild.

Elsinore13, is that a Blackhawk SJ18 ?

Ok, now I have caught the sickness... All I needed was a nice, heavy-duty jack that was capable of 2+ tons.... and the capability to lift 20+ inches, or strong enough to mount a lift extension on top.

Went to HF with a 20% off coupon two weeks ago, I liked the Daytona 3 ton Heavy duty, but not the $180 price after taxes and discounts, then I read that they were having a big anniversary sale last weekend, so I held off on any purchases.

I went back to HF last weekend, only to find their prices were only reduced $10 more.... or they wouldn't let you use a coupon on their super sale lowered price, which was the same cost as before the sale discount when you use a coupon... (Sigh).

I finally got sort of pissed, walked out of the store, and decided to search CL for an American jack.

I am going to pick up a Walker 4 ton long frame tomorrow, seller said it works, so we will see. I also located a local jack repair guy who has a older Snap on 3 ton shorter jack (lincoln-walker) that he says he will repair and sell to me for about the same as the cost of the better HF China-made jack.

I also spotted a Hein-Warner 20 ton bottle jack, but I haven't pursued it yet.

Yep, you got the fever - didn't know there was anyone in the Denver metro area who repaired floor jacks.

Haha, I think you are right. I picked up the big Walker today, and it looks great and complete. It has the typical 70 year old dust-grunge on it, so I am going to take it to the car wash tomorrow and rinse it off.

I asked the seller to remove the handle before I got there, as I was sort of in a pinch for time and didn't have enough room to take the jack with handle attached.

It was a great deal and the seller was happy I plan on using it.

I haven't even gotten to the big Walker yet, but we will see what happens tomorrow. I need to double check how to check the level of fluid and add any if needed. I think it is a model 784.

I can PM you the info on the guy in Morrison that rebuilds jacks if you are interested.

So, Great News!

The Walker Jack I picked up is in fact a model 884. It was a little low on fluid, so the first thing we did was put some hydraulic Jack oil in it.

We washed it off top and bottom with a pressure washer and I cleaned the information tag with Lacquer thinner to get the model number plate clean enough to use.

We put some oil on the pistons so nothing was dry, and then we pulled the main pump lever hinge pin out and cleaned it well and lubed it with some CAT Gold grease, then greased the zerk fittings on the wheels and master hinge pin.

The only thing I found wrong with the whole thing, besides the wrong color silver paint job done a long time ago, was the filler screw with the air bleed hole. It is damaged and I need to get a new one for everything to be great.

We pumped it up with no load and it lifts very fast with no load, and gets all the way to 24"!

It drops smoothly and slowly if you only slightly crack the release valve open, or quickly drops if you open it further, stopping at any point that I close the valve.

I had my Toyota Land Cruiser in the driveway, and this is heavy enough that it made my craftsman Aluminum 1.5 ton jack beg for mercy and constantly go into overload mode, not lifting the truck up.

I rolled the big Walker under the Land Cruiser, and proceeded to easily lift it up with just a few pumps! It sounds pretty quiet, and it lifts smoothly with each stroke. I really like the adjustable handle position and the long length so I am not short pumping it when it is way under the truck.

I think I have found my new number-one favorite jack!

I will try and get some pics in the next few days.

Damn thats a beautiful jack. I wish I could find something like that in my area but it’s always blown up craftsman’s or they get snatched up quick. I am in Los Angeles though so nothing of value stays up for long. Nice find!

All this talk about the old school Walkers has inspired me to share my pair of Walker 93652's rebranded for Snap-on. Have the first one rebuilt and restored, and the second one should be done this week.

Yeah the swap meets down at alpine village and the Roadium are full of Chinese junk. Sometimes find some good stuff but of course it’s always overpriced. There’s a vintage weekend down in old Torrance I’ve seen the same guy there three times with his table of the same ten pliers. All priced at $50... like really?

It has the lines of an S4, but looks short. Like you, I don't see anything on the web that looks quite like it.

Very nice, the (4) I have all have the short cover plate. That could be a very early S4.
