Just got the 18v Festool cordless to go along with the 15.6 impact and the CXS compact.

One I couldn't live without - Festool Circular Saw System

And a new one I just got this week - Baileigh Portable Bandsaw

I'm very impressed by Festool. Their total design philosophy and the supporting systems that work with them are so effective. For woodworking, they get my vote as the best power tools available.

Yes, they cost an arm and a leg, but that only hurts once, the rest is pure enjoyment...:pimpflash

I posted this in the new tool arrivals thread, I might as well C&P and make two posts from one.

I guess I should do this every now and then.

Here's what has been purchased in the last six months or so. The drill in the pic was the $99 special during the holidays. I wanted a slim battery pack and an extra M12/M18 combo charger, all I have is XC packs and I wanted the slim for the new heated jacket. It was cheaper to buy the drill kit than it was just the pack and charger separate. The last thing I needed was another drill, but it made no sense to pay more for less. The drill is actually a lot better than I expected for a holiday special, it's the current four pole/four brush compact drill and kit, but only one battery. The Fuel impacts are beasts for their size. Other than the drill kit, everything was a bare tool. The vendor I got the M12 grease gun from sold me the kit mius the battery and charger, so I got the case for free.

The Bosch stuff I started getting later last year. The oscillating tool is simply the best I've used, cordless or corded. The brushless motor has tons of runtime. I put the little bandsaw to work helping me make an iron gate for the garden. I picked up the new Bosch 4AH 12VMax battery because they finally took a page from Milwaukee's book and made a similar pack. I HIGHLY recommend this to anyone with Bosch 12V tools, it goes o forever it seems, and you have a nice stable foot to set the tools down on.

I got other goodies during a big Bosch sale with L-BOXXes that I couldn't pass up. About that time my back blew apart and I was totally immobile for months. The five-high stack of L-BOXXes and the dolly became a walker for me to get around the house with. The "real" walker was too clumsy and wide. Pushing that stack around was my only way of getting around the house for 4 months. I'm slowly mending now and finally able to put some of these tools to work!

I believe the 10.8 and the 12 are the same it just depends which market you are in, its just listed differently. They are called 10.8v in australia

Hey Monte, whats the difference between the 10.8v and 12v Bosch tools? I know the 14.4 and 18v battery are not interchangable, but are the 12v/10.8v? Is your version better or something? And if so where can I get some here in the states for reasonable cost?

Exactly ! 12 volt = 10,8 volt tools. They´re the same. In the US they´re sold as 12 volt in the rest of the world as 10,8 volt. Btw. Bosch will release 2.5AH batteries for the 10,8 Volt lineup in january !

I just got a PS32 here in the states. Love the darn thing. I wish these were around back when I was doing stereo stuff. I had a Makita 9.6v drill and a Dewalt 9.6v, the 9.6v nicad dewalt is bigger than their current 20v lol. The Makita wasn't bad but still pretty big compared to the Bosch. And the Bosch has a crapload more power. I wish the brushless PS41 would be released. I want one bad now that I have the drill and see how awesome it is. Works great for what I need around the house and feels great in my hand. I ended up liking the way it felt more than the 12v milwaukee stuff.
