First let me say, cool setup.:drool:

But wouldn't you be better off with the smaller sidebox on the right up against the toolbox, then the taller one at the end? I.e., interchange the right two sideboxes. Then you'd have a place to put stuff beside your work area.
Originally I had planned on just adding the two full size lockers, but they had just come out with the half locker. I told my dealer "I need somewhere to put my fridge". We laughed, then ordered the half locker as well. I really don't do much work off the top of the box, I have work benches and a large cart.

My fridge died. I miss it. Mine was under the bench at the dealer, then lived on my old craftsman box next to my epic. Was a sad day when I smelled the coffee creamer gone bad.

The hard part for me is Color, especially now that I've realized I need to make the plunge from "good enough" to "right tool for the job". I've kind of leaning toward orange, tho seeing the pix above (thanks for the eyecandy, guys!!) the green kinda grabs me as well.

So... what made you decide which color to pull the trigger on? Any regrets over the color you chose? And is there one color you got that when you look at it you go "Damn, I can't stand the looks of it"?

My favourite color has always been orange so it was an easy decision for me. Regrets? Nope but I was tempted to get my sidekiq in extreme green just to mix it up a bit. Obviously I didn't so who knows? My next main toolbox upgrade may be green.

For me it was an easy choice. I like the color!
Also, If I'm paying for it, especially something that is sort of a premium price item, then I'm getting whatever I like for options and to heck with anyone else's opinion. Once it's done, live with it. No second guessing or listening to **** from others who disagree with my choices. Lord know there's plenty of "you shoulda bought" or "for a lot less money you could buy xxxxx", which we know how much of that there is on GJ when toolboxes are being discussed......buy what you want and enjoy it!

The only box that I ever thought the color was "wrong" was a special edition KRL set for which there where no add-ons (lockers / side boxes) available in that color even at the time it was built. But the deal was I got was the cheapest way to go at the time for that much box.

Nice boxes fellas.

Thumbs up to scooter for the draw'er section on top. An option I will be exploring.

Yeah I choose blue as I like blue. I also requested black trim on a KETN682.

I originally got hooked into near signing because my dealer had three boxes on standby in Calgary for a ridiculously low price. In the end I said no as it's not the colour I wanted. He then went the extra mile and got me what I wanted for a small price increase.

Get what you want. Don't get something because it's there.

I also like the fridge idea. Am sure they will come out with a low locker fridge if the demand is there.

Scooter: Any pics of you standing next to the box?

Will see if I have one. I am 6'2 and the box tops out around 6'9. First tool box I have ever owned I needed a step to get into top draws. But I really love mine.

That's what I was wondering. Need a matching Step eh? Should come standard with a nice combo like that.

Honestly I don't know why they would make the box that tall, seems silly to have to use a step stool to get into drawers. I feel it should be a third shorter, my driver tried to get me to buy the top, not my cup of tea.

Yeah 6 nine is tall am right on the money @ 6 one.

I haven't seen a real actually picture of the Chest. I always had top & bottom box when I was coming up. Seems the Hutch rule's the shop these days.

Here's mine. Flat black with black trim. Not exactly how I would have ordered it, but it's easy to ignore when it's dirty. About to get the hutch and some of the anodized blue trim to splash some color on it.

Ha ha ha. Keep them coming fellas.

My dealer said 4 weeks. That's 2 weeks time.

That, and price, is why I bought the one off the truck. He had it for 6 months, several took a shot at it, but none bit. It's exactly what I wanted in size and configuration, but maybe not color. Took $1250 off for that alone, after all applicable deals on it and a scuff on the back corner from being strapped in his truck for a few months.

I ordered mine from the rock and Roll truck visit. Was able to get a really good deal my regular guy couldn't match and I went for it. Glad I did. It took four weeks to get my bottom and the top came a week later. I enjoyed being able to pick color and trim and also got great trade in value plus rebates and other incentives on the new one. I see one locker in the future but that should complete mine. As for the step I like others wish it was built into the bottom of box. Kind of like an RV step that swings out. The very top draws are the only ones I have to step up for so I put rarely used items in those three.

I don't think I've seen white/chrome yet in this thread so here is mine. Right side powered locker is on order. I'm sure I'll end up with a left side locker at some point too.

yes, it was a lot of fun getting it bolted up too

Did you know the second set of smaller wheels under the locker are for shipping only? My first thought when I spotted them under there was "I bet that made joining the two a PITA". I don't think they have the flexibility of the standard wheels and might give ya trouble down the road. Could also be part of what made getting it bolted up a PITA. I put a floor jack w/piece of wood under that edge to protect the finish. Jacked up slightly and removed those wheels. Then let the jack down as I brought the roller box up to it and aligned the bolt holes.

Love the white. My buddy went with white/gunmetal 60" with hutch and both lockers. Where did you score the ppg stool?

Freeeeeekin EPIQ!!!

So can someone do me a favour. Measure the over hang height and depth on the 3" & 4" draw'ers? Av managed to space my tools 30mm from the front edge of the foam. Wondering if this is enough?

Please 😎

IMO, once you get used to using a hutch, you won't want to loose that space for your odd stuff that doesn't go in drawers and sort of your own "shop desk" space.

yeah, i know they are supposed to come off, but my locker was supposed to have black wheels that match the box, but they havent came in yet, so until then they will stay, plus it doesnt really bother me that there there. and if i ever remove the locker to move the box, it will be easy
