I know that they offer sales periodically, but with the R&R truck I get the colors I want and the drawers the way I want for free. That is the big selling point to me. Also all of these are about 6 to 8 weeks out, that is not an issue to me.

I did find the "baby epiq" part number, not sure why two snap on dealers couldn't figure out what I was talking about? Oh well, at least I am getting the ball rolling.

I am having them spec it out with two 4" drawers and seven 2" drawers and I am getting this one in extreme green, but with my titanium trim, only the big epiq's will get the flat blue treatment. I also figure since I have a KRSC100 that I can swap my drawers around, kind of excited about that the most. If I order it, there will be two handles, two slots and dots sides and the extra bin they offer for it, I guess it is reversible so you can use it as a shelf too. This is what I really wanted and it is in the price range that I had in my head. Iw ill keep you guys updated.

are you sure you can interchange drawers with the krsc100? it is like 26" deep and the kemw361 baby epiq is 30" deep.

Good point, well I may have to change my thought process a bit, as for the 60" it is 40% off list, then they are offering rebates, then on the roll cabinets, they double that rebate. I wish they were offering the same rebate on carts.

I am glad to hear this news. I am thinking about an 84" epiq and my dealer told me that he has a new rock n roll guy finally. Brand new with the company, hoping he starts off with the awesome deals. One requirement of an 84" for me is that a few drawers have to be changed. I am on the fence between the triple or double bank version

I didn't know they made a double bank version, if you get the triple, at least get the three wide drawers, that is the one thing I wish I had. Eventually I will buy another one with three drawers, but this time around, they are all over my mental budget. I just saw the double, that is great, I would have ordered that in a heart beat if it was an option when I was ordering.

well I measured between banks on my 68" and you lose 4.75 inches , so if I bought the double bank 84 , I gain 4.75" x 8 drawers which is 38". the same as my wide drawers on 68" epiq. So I would gain one more drawer of space going with double bank and not adding another partion. Just not sure I want that big of drawers to open/ close all day long >

If I go with the triple bank version ,although its 16" longer than my 68, I am gaining 11-1/4" of addition drawer width.

OK, I miss read your post, I thought you were going to buy a triple and make it a quad. I was thinking of something like that as well. I wonder if I can get 5" and 3" in the baby epiq? I actually like to stand my sockets up, but if you take the space that you would gain by having the extra drawers, you would definitely have more room. I need the 3" for my wrenches, they just work for me.

I had never thought about this 4 wide drawer conversion you guys have been talking about here. Sounds pretty awesome. I've been designing my Epiq (in my mind) for someday when I finally set foot on a Rock n Roll truck. I know that will be the best time to upgrade to an Epiq and get a crazy trade in on my KRL.

So I like the 84" with the power cab because with the 2 banks of drawers being 68" it offers me wider drawers on both banks compared to my 54" KRL.

So how tall are the 3 wide drawers on a 68"? Is it 5" / 3" / 4"? If so could it be ordered with 4" / 3" / 3" / 2"?

I am sure u could do that, when they came out with the five" top drawer on master series I didn't understand Because all my sockets stood up in the 4" top drawer like on a 1001 box, but I do like the 3" drawer for wrenches

Don't know where you get these prices?

I paid $6700 Candian for the 68". That's not a warehouse blow out, that was a 'Yet to be built' box. That included tax and shipping to my property up here in the Rockies. No trade taken or implied.

$6700 CAN = $5009 USD as of todays rate.

My apprentice bought the warehouse special Black & gold 68" for $6200 CAD. That's even sweeter at $4650 USD. Keep paying top dollar down there for even better deals up here.

Yeah I have a KRL1001B and all my sockets stand up fine in the single 4" full width drawer.

Now I'm dreaming about an 84" with 4 full width drawers though. I looked up the actual sizes of the triple full width drawer Epiq's after my last post.

4 7/8"
3 13/16"
2 11/16"

The 2" drawer hautpot linked to is actually 1 11/16 and is from the KERP842. Seems like it shouldn't be a problem swapping in 2 of those for the
3 13/16" drawer. Is it unlimited custom drawer configuration on the Rock n Roll truck?

Awesome stuff Haulpot and fellas. While you pioneers are figuring out drawer configurations, I've been busy trying to fill the dam thing!

I kinda like the drawer layout on the KETN box. Well ide rather have three Four inch or even four 3".

Anyways, I have a few of them long drawers figured out (Still needs a tweak here and there) and another one ready to go.

Blue, Green, Red or Yellow?

The lower spacing is 30mm to accommodate the Epiq drawer deal.

You should see the socket bed! Puts the E-P-I & Q in Epiq!

The tallest piece in the socket drawer will be a 32mm impact sitting on 5mm of foam. Might just clear in the 3" drawer.

There seems to be so much discrepancy regarding price structure on these boxes. I don't know why there is such a lack of transparency. Hard to know if it's guys throwing false numbers or what. Yet when you talk to a rep and he gives you a price he swears he's making almost nothing when he quotes you 10000 plus for a 68 Epiq w/ stainless power top no Ecko. The lack of transparency almost takes the fun out of the purchase.

Well I cannot explain the deal with high prices. I was originally hunted for a warehouse special until I decided I wanted what I wanted and not take a cut price unit because it was there.

I had a good convo with the dealer. Make a couple of grand on a box or make 10 grand profit when I try to fill it.

Turnover is turnover for SnapOn. I'de rather sell 100 boxes a month for $1000 profit than 10 boxes a month for $10'000 profit. Turnover keeps people working.

DO BLUE!!!! it will match your BLUE EPIQ!!!!!

Oh yeah. I had blue in my yellow box. I was gonna go yellow in my blue box but keeping it clean is a challenge. Am sure the 'Green tools matter' boys might have something to say about green.

I agree with you 100%. My rep said he got the r and r truck involved and the price was the price, not a hope to get it lower. I do know one thing, if I do find out he's made 30 to 50% out of my hide. My days of walking on his truck are over, as I've trusted his word on this. The problem is we are discouraged to do our due diligence, and get pricing from another rep. In a sense we are captive customers if we insist on running this beautiful box. Don't get me wrong I love this stuff, just wish there wasn't so much discrepancy on pricing at times.

I wonder about Snap-on pricing also. A 68" Epiq lists at $12,975 Can + BC tax =$14,500

Alberta has less tax and the economy is down but an Epiq for $6,700 seems like they are selling it below cost.

I don't mind the truck making some money, I just don't want to get hosed because the reps territory is protected that's the bottom line for me.

Warehouse specials are not custom, you take what they have. They offered me a 68 at $4500 but it was not what I wanted.

I believe the level your dealer is on makes a difference as well.
That's what I thought too. I asked him and he said no, as long as the r&r truck was involved it would be as low as possible.

A $4500.00 new 68 epiq without damage? I'd take it with purple polka dots.

I've had a handful of different dealers. And one really good dealer. They all given me different prices for the same thing on the r+r truck. Sometimes significantly different.

My really good dealer told me it didn't matter unless I wanted custom colors or drawer layout. The r and r truck can waive the fee for that and he usually can't. I brought a 68 for 5500 with a bunch of free stuff off his truck

They were gloss black with gloss black trim, I don't want a 68 and I don't want a black tool box. They had several special warehouse deals, but nothing I wanted.

For the baby Epiq, it might be possible to get those drawers custom made as no part numbers exist for the sizes. but at that point you might as well go 6+2, 4+2+2, or 4+4, I cant imagine using the cart for XXL industrial sized spanners and sockets.

I am actually looking to go with two 4" drawers and seven 2" drawers. Remember my epiq has all 4" and 2" drawers, except the big 5" and 3", they told me I could not modify those, but I am not sure that is true, or maybe they don't allow you to do it.
