Picked up the 13" and 26" yesterday. No fancy red tools to put in them, but the larger box holds my 18v Porter Cable reciprocating saw, circular saw, drill, impact driver, light, oscillating tool, charger, and four batteries along with a bunch of other stuff. The 13" box has some wasted space right now but will inevitably get packed as well.

Had my cordless tools spread out between four bags. Also, I looked at the other boxes HD carries. The Milwaukee boxes seemed to fit my needs better than the modular or roll around boxes. Between the NLP savings and 10% discount they cost around $50.

I now have most of my hand tools in the Milwaukee electrician's pouch
can you post a photo of that? I'm looking to get an electrician pouch or open top tote. The Veto LC is out of the question but doesn't seem like there's much else for 'mostly hand tools' besides the husky in the price range I'm looking for.

It's no hurry but the main thing I was looking for was how congested it is.

I bought one of the husky square 'electrician tote' ones over the weekend and haven't started filling it yet. I want to put all my data/coax/electrical stuff in it just for around the house type stuff. I'm far from an electrician but most of the work I have done on my and my friends' houses have been electrical recently so go figure. The current bag I have is acceptable but I want better visibility and organization between the types of tools.

Asking you seems right up my alley. There are several photos on websites of examples but I think they focus more on sparkys that are in and out of it by memorization. Mine won't be that way and I'm guessing yours is somewhere between what I want and what they want so it's likely more useful to me. Even though yours is a belt setup and mine isn't I think it would be useful.

I like it. The reason I asked is you and I have about 90% the same tools in this case. Almost every thing you have in that pouch I have exactly the same or close enough to not matter.

Thanks again bud. I think when I add my coax/cat5 into the pouch I've got I should have enough room for misc stuff and sanity. If not I will just get a pouch like you got.

At a month old, this thread is too young to die!

Actually, I figured I'd take time to update my thoughts on the boxes, as well as to show off my newest ones. I'll probably get another 26" eventually, but I paid only $17.10 each for the 13" ones earlier.

The bigger box is perfect for my 18v tools, and I've mostly removed the hand tools from that box. I was doing a fair amount of electrical stuff and grew tired of digging out a hammer and torpedo level since I wasn't using anything else from the box. That opened it up enough to stick some more accessories into it. It's great not having to rely on bags that could lead to my tools getting damaged or wet.

The 13" box is great for general tools. I have screwdrivers, a few staplers (T-50, T-2025, JT-21, and HT-50), and various pliers, pipe wrenches, and adjustable wrenches in the one I've been using. The removable shelf holds micro screwdrivers and about seven boxes of staples perfectly. The box makes a great seat too. About the only issue I have, and not really a big one, is that it tends to fall if stacked on the larger box while driving.

I'm debating using one of the new 13" boxes for HVAC and plumbing tools. The other may be a standby box to dump whatever I need for a particular job into, or it may become an uninsulated ice chest. I'm well on my way to organizing my remodeling tools into job-specific boxes/bags already.
