Stickers!!

Waiting on a Snap-On Industrial Brands catalog and more stickers. Almost to the point where I might dip into the sticker swap here.
Time will tell...:bounce:

This is mine, it fits perfectly behind the passenger seat in my 944 Turbo track car and fits all the essentials. I'll have to take another picture of it with contents.

I know what you're thinking, why on earth would you get a KTC SKC-M tool box for your German track car, why not the obvious choice of a Hazet 190L? I like the KTC version since it only has 2 cantilever fold outs which allows full access to the bottom of the box, on the Hazet version the bottom is never fully accessible. Plus the KTC version is cheaper and more unique, as much as I love my Hazet stuff, it is SO expensive.
back to the top...i really like that KTC toolbox

^^Me too. Although Gedore has a two-tray cantilever box, it is quite more expensive than the already costly Hazet. KTC Japan?

Used this for years doing field service.
Easy to carry (came with a shoulder strap that I never used), and easy to tie onto to haul up to the catwalks I usually worked from.
Measures 8" square at the base and holds a lot more than you might think.

....empty now since retirement.

Thanks guys. It is a plastic craftsman box with 3 pull out metal drawers that I got for Christmas a few years ago. The box has held up pretty nicely, especially considering at one point I forgot I had it and left it outside for a few months. They are usually at Sears for $50 without any tools, I believe they also come with a 185 pc tool set.

I use the same one for work, have had it for about 6 years now and I love it. Holds everything I need and more without a problem.

I got one of those Husky 3 bag sets on BF special. The square one holds all the tools and the duffel handles the jumper cables, air compressor, and other stuff.

The company I work for on the other hand, has a little bit better setup. I have toured the inside of the truck. It is incredible.

Here is a Christmas present. I need to get some drawer mat before I load it up. I'm happy with the quality and it will make a great road box.

Cope, I just noticed that pic of your Snap-On box. Pretty nice!! It looks just like mines only a little bit more worn out.

Thanks, they make a good box to take on the road occasionally. Mine sits on my welding cabinet, and if a neighbor wants to borrow a tool, that's where my loaners are.

Empty and no key. Went to my locksmith and gave him the number on the lock. $12 later I had a couple of keys.

Just for future reference, you can get them for $7/set off ebay.

Thanks, I'll keep it in mind for the future. I complained to my friend that he ripped me off-keys cost 1/2 the price of the box he sold me. He was not interested in my problem. ;)

I have Hazet and it works perfectly. The hinges were a bit tight at first, and simply needed a little lubrication. They loosened up quite nicely with a few months use.

Hazet, as you know, is already pretty expensive for a cantilever box.

Take a look at cantilever offerings by Gedore. They are more than twice, even triple the price. I have read that they do not need lubrication out of the box, and that they are powder coated as well. Gedore cantilever box also has a trapezoidal design to the box bottom, or main compartment as well. Just a small design characteristic that can help the box from toppling over if weight is unevenly distributed. I believe they are offered in 3 or 5 compartment, as well as multiple length.

That's as far as I know, maybe someone can chime in.

I have a cheap Excel one and a few things i can easily point out is the fit and finish isn't great. Mine came with some paint chips, construction flaws, and other scratches and scrapes. Seems pretty light duty as well. I have one of mine mine loaded up with my screwdrivers and I'm not sure it could handle the weight of heftier tools. It's a cheap box and it works for me while I try to find a nice older one. So if you are just looking for something basic, for light duty use, for not much money this isn't a bad option.

Here are some pictures of mine.

(Here is what looks like a bad spot weld)

(the contents: Screwdrivers, nutdrivers, and some hex keys.)

I will also say that Excel's customer service was excellent. So they do their best to make the customers happy.
