Preparing for my upcoming art/craftshows.Had request for outside drink holders. Decided on this. Will hold bottle, can, and 32 ounce Gatorade. Provided a upright end washer for hat, sunglasses, shirt, or whatever to hang on. Enough room for a insulated drink cover too.

These are great! How did you twist the metal together like that? Where the rings for the top premade or did you make those as well?

Thanks, the rings I made using my old RIDGID 400 pipe machine. Made up a jig for pipe machine so took about a minute. I had parts from a picket twister that I adapted. I'll get pics later.

Here's the adapter I made. I used up all my rod but this will give you the idea.

:shocking: Watch the fingers ...

It's not bad. I use a foot pedal intermittently and there's a arm that pulls out to rest material on. It spins slow but you can't stop it. You definitely need to pay attention.

My last fab project before the summer heat hits.....

We're doing a family RZR trip to Moab and my dad has been wanting a bumper for a while. I wanted something minimal that would protect our radiator in case of a get off, but not block airflow. I couldn't find what I wanted at a reasonable price, so I decided to bite the bullet and make one.

Minus skid plate:
1XMxi39.jpg

I was super nervous to weld these end caps on as I'm good at blasting through thin metal, but these turned out pretty damn good:

My well positioned picture to make my welding look better than it is:

Skid plate loosely dangling to show what it will look like all mounted up.

Thanks gentleman! Compliments from this crowd aren't taken lightly!

TT, Thanks for the offer......I can't imagine how many tubes I would waste if I was having to cope into a radius! :spit: It always blows my mind when guys can meet up a pillar with a radiused roof line, or when a radius goes into a bend. I need to swing by your shop someday and pick your brain.

I dropped the bumper off for powdercoat this morning and the shop owner was showing me the *** shackles and "F*%& Benches" he manufactures. I can't make this stuff up! :lol_hitti

I own a welding and fabrication business and do a lot of subcontracting building bumpers for C4 Fabrication. I post a lot of my work on my Instagram page - @madebymiller_ There's some really nice work in this thread!

I wanted to share my exhaust project for my Porsche 911 turbo. Been about 12 years since I last tig welded.

It was a lot of fun to work on this project. Exhaust is really loud and I have taken it back off the car to add some resonators on to bring down the raspy sound.

Hats off to some incredible welders on this site!! I’m using a Miller XMT 360 with lift-start.

Here is a link to what the exhaust sounds like:

Here is a small bandsaw table I built out of some flat stock I had laying around. Works quite well and I used it extensively on my exhaust project. I love the Milwaukee portable bandsaw!!

Neighbor is a Bob Cat mechanic and had a blade control handle that need welding back on. Rush job, so he brought it over as is ... while it was pouring rain. Pulled it in, barely fit, and went to work. Took awhile as I couldn't find a good ground. Ended up grounding to the broken handle and holding it in place with the free hand. Pain to reach, but it worked.

My box and pan brake lived on the floor behind my knee mill. Every time I needed it I had to move the 2500 lb machine (luckily on wheels) so I can get access to it and use my gantry crane to lift it onto my welding table. I would avoid using the brake because it was a pain to get to, I have a few projects coming up that I need it so thought I should make a rolling stand. The base is made from 1/8” steel that was CNC cut and has 1.5” flat bar to reinforce the sheet metal. The cross tubes are 1.5” .100” wall square tubing.

Man you need a thread for everything you've built. I mean, you've got a lot in your sig, but I'm sure that's only the tip of the iceberg. You must stay busy. :)

Did more work on my Porsche exhaust. 2 resonators installed to bring the noise down because the drone and raspy note are overwhelming. I’m not the best at welding but the welds are strong. Last thing to do is to install on the car to get the tips aligned.

A "Bee Box".

My first fabrication project. For a professor at school, who keeps bees.

Bottom section contains a burner. Top is filled with beeswax. You dip wooden hive parts in it to impregnate and waterproof the wood.

Both sections also now have handles.

Theres a lot going on in this picture. The roll up door skinned to look like a wall of safes, the bead rolled paneling... cantilever suspension up on the "old" rear diff...

That build doesn't look like a pure race car... Is it for SEMA next year?[/QUOTE]

thanks I have been working on all of it for years now. the car is my own purpose built for driving the hell out of it hoping to get it to Sema next year but we will see how many other things I get sidetracked with??:lol_hitti

Finally after years and years I sat down and made a magnetic TIG torch holder.
