Yes I do. I also cut & bevel the crack down to about 3/4 of the thickness of the wheel before welding, then welding the opposite side making sure the weld penetrates 100% to the first side. Here is one that I welded that someone else tried but never got complete penetration(and as a result recracked), as you can see the dark spot that revealed the unwelded void when I beveled the crack. Surface welding on wheels is not enough, there has to be complete 100% penetration.

Almost done. Mill installed, and it fit!! Rolls real nice too, and with wheels locked it's rock solid. Will be adding some jacking feet this weekend.

Had to get it off the old stand as an old weld repair, from the original owner, was cracking.

I'm about to build similar one for mine, where did you get the drip tray and its approximate dimensions?

Wow, that Jeeps smoker is incredible! Number of details is staggering.

Steam Punk theme was my first thought also but i didnt have rivets and stuff that it would have needed, so i used some bolts just for fun and decided to stay in the traditional model. This is all stainless steel so i guess it is not very steam punk material :)

Own thread? Maybe not but i can add more photos later.

Tacoma double cab roll cage going in. Ready to weld. Drop down to fully weld then add a few more tube to It.

Also floating entertainment center for my house. 4549ff3a97b5f2cb553815def7efd530.jpgaca548022e367f536ea31cc13133ce5e.jpg9b028b88666704e5f4039ce52cdb2224.jpg778f77672edd8226e22af109644d83ee.jpgf955cfbb93c40b1ecb28b9745276bbca.jpg31c27a5593b6382474ae47b0baa20d6a.jpg

They both look great:thumbup: Like the others definitely interested in seeing you dropper down. Could you maybe show some underside pics of where they'll be attaching to the frame?
Both very nicely done:beer:

So front mount I run a boxed mount off the frame the a pillar lands on. I cut tacks and let it slide down to weld. Notice I dont have any lower portions of the x bracing or dash bar un place so I can drop it down.

B pillar tube bent to hit side of frame where its plated to prevent it ripping the frame.

C pillar lands where old body mount was and has a disc covering hole that is removed to allow it to drop down. Then replaced once back up again.

The bottom of x bracing will land on top of the frame as well to make sure it goes nowhere.

I did my double cab Tacoma this way 2 years ago and it works great

The cage will be tied into the cab sheet metal making everything solid mounted so rear cab mount isnt needed anymore.

I needed a cart for my Hypertherm 45XP, so I built it out of some 1/8” steel. All parts were CNC cut and the holes are also dimple died, I thought it would be cool to cut the Hypertherm H into the back of the cart. I just need to now IMG_0369.jpgIMG_0370.jpgIMG_0371.jpgpaint it.

I think its out on a machine somewhere. The pieces kind of rolled apart for the pic but the fit is really good and I can whack it by eye with a Sawzall. I might have tacked it right in place and it looks pretty good with a little weathering on it. I zip it with a wire feed.
The end was too tight to bend and needed a fussy twist as best I can recall, its been a while. This is the kind of thing am really fast with once I get started.

That cart turned out well! But to paint it gray or red :dunno:

I was thinking of painting the cart a grey similar to Hypertherms colour and ill cut a backer plate for the H and have that painted red so the logo stands out.

Let's see some pics of that monster combo square!

Preparing for my upcoming art/craftshows.Had request for outside drink holders. Decided on this. Will hold bottle, can, and 32 ounce Gatorade. Provided a upright end washer for hat, sunglasses, shirt, or whatever to hang on. Enough room for a insulated drink cover too.

I’ve never touched a welder before mid-March.

About 50% done with building this reverse flow offset smoker. That’s half of a 330 gallon propane tank. 30” x 60” tank, fire box will be 24x30x20.

That looks really good. I have mentioned this about welding lessons before. There is a market for welding lessons in some respect, real crash course stuff as a lot of guys like you that don't need building lessons.
