That third hand is awesome! And I love that little south bend lathe.
Could you share some details on the third hand?

This is basically what I started with, had no actual “plans” just kinda winged it.. looking at some skeleton hand pictures on the interweb and my own hand.. that’s pretty much what I came up with. Sorry I can’t be more help.

Latest project I started today. It’s called an infinity table. Still need to finish up the welding , grind the welds down and slap some paint on her. Will be going with a glass top...I think a wood top would take away from it..
Cheers.

Both end tables are awesome. Wife wants to know when I’ll start on hers.

AWESOME Job! Did you wing the measurements or did you go off of plans? I would love to know the measurements. This size looks perfect.

I based mine off of a coffee tables dimensions. It is 18"h x 24"w x 24"l
It can be used in two different orientations if desired, as a coffee table or flip it over on it's side as an end table.

My tool storage space it VERY tight, so I had to get creative for a table saw and miter saw stand. I drew up a stand that has wings that fold out for use and fold down to be stored under my current bench. It allows me to wheel it out to the driveway for use.

80 ft of square tubing and some piano hinge cut and welded up, then table tops made made out of MDF laminated with black Formica and a birch plywood backing to give good bite for the T Track and Miter Track. Edge banded with Walnut. Each table is adjustable to allow me to line it up exactly with the saw cut planes.

I still need to add T rack to the side wings for stop blocks for the Miter saw and Miter track to the rear out feed table to allow table saw jigs to run through.

Also working a router table that sits on top.

Now that’s a great saw combo setup. I’ve seen similar in wood but the steel will have more strength and durability.

Also, is the garage floor painted?

Thanks everyone it was my first real welding project and first time using mig. I am happy how it turned out. It was a steep learning curve to make sure it was all square and strait, esp without a proper heavy duty welding table to keep things flat against.

No, the back of the garage is a gym that is lined with 1/4 rubber mat, then various rubber depending on if it's the lifting platform or ground work area.

Under the motorcycles is just the cheap-o harbor freight foam tiles.

VERY nicely designed. I like it. How is each table adjusted? I can’t make it out from the pictures.

On each of the fold out supports there is an adjustable "foot" that threads into the support and has a jamb nut to lock it in place. This foot then interfaces and locks into a receiving spot on the fold out wings/table tops. This allows me to adjust them for flatness with respect to the saws. I also made it so I could shim the saws if need be to raise their overall height, but I actually got it spot on, so wasn't needed. See pics attached.

Nice barlowrs.

You almost have more **** in your garage than me........:shocking:

haha yeah, my gf is a personal trainer, so she NEEDS a full gym to teach out of, so I got delegated to half (actually less than half) of the garage for all my woodworking, metal working, and automotive/motorcycle gear...it makes for creative solutions. Most of my stuff is on various french cleat shelving I have made. It's like tetris.

That is a sweet saw and router setup!!!!!

Barlowrs, I admire people who fit ten pounds of their stuff in a five pound space but you're closer to twenty pounds in a twp pound space. Well done!:bowdown:
