Thanks everyone it was my first real welding project and first time using mig. I am happy how it turned out. It was a steep learning curve to make sure it was all square and strait, esp without a proper heavy duty welding table to keep things flat against.
Now that’s a great saw combo setup. I’ve seen similar in wood but the steel will have more strength and durability.
Also, is the garage floor painted?
No, the back of the garage is a gym that is lined with 1/4 rubber mat, then various rubber depending on if it's the lifting platform or ground work area.
Under the motorcycles is just the cheap-o harbor freight foam tiles.
VERY nicely designed. I like it. How is each table adjusted? I can’t make it out from the pictures.
On each of the fold out supports there is an adjustable "foot" that threads into the support and has a jamb nut to lock it in place. This foot then interfaces and locks into a receiving spot on the fold out wings/table tops. This allows me to adjust them for flatness with respect to the saws. I also made it so I could shim the saws if need be to raise their overall height, but I actually got it spot on, so wasn't needed. See pics attached.
Nice barlowrs.
You almost have more **** in your garage than me........
haha yeah, my gf is a personal trainer, so she NEEDS a full gym to teach out of, so I got delegated to half (actually less than half) of the garage for all my woodworking, metal working, and automotive/motorcycle gear...it makes for creative solutions. Most of my stuff is on various french cleat shelving I have made. It's like tetris.
