I've never seen one like hat. It's got it be for pipe though! Have you tried it to see how well it grips pipe?

I don't think its just for pipe, at least not like the modern examples. The jaw pad is on a spring loaded pivot, so it stays tight when on a nut.

I picked up this Allen from HJE. I've always liked the design of the WF 15" adjustable; I figured I better pick one up while I still can.

New arrival, my first piece from Japan. Slim and tiny jaws, according to the producer dedicated to electronics.

I just drank some adjustable wrench KoolAid!

I got a email telling me they had some of their adjustable wrenches come into stock:

Adjustable Wrench - Titanium 4 Inch

https://countycomm.com/products/adjustable-wrench-titanium-4-inch-nsn-pending?bis_id=pkny4x&utm_campaign=stock-notification&utm_content=Adjustable%20Wrench%20-%20Titanium%204%20Inch%20%28%20NSN%20Pending%20%29&utm_medium=email&utm_source=back-in-stock&variant=31334246776902

Another thing I had wanted and had to wait on was the Folding Titanium Craft Scalpel Knife. The craftmanship is amazing on these little knifes. It's hard to believe they sell for $20.00. They are OOS at the moment BUT if you get on their email notification they will let you know when they get some more made. They ship pretty quick too.

Dang, I got some of few nice adjustables recently... Naming Dowidat, Hazet and really funny looking Williams, with braking pin - patent is from fifties, sole wrench has Superjustable on it. Hope to post some pics soon

I missed Irwin brand in my small collection, so these are two new items received yesterday. Both made in China.

Those are nice looking Bahco wrenches. While on the topic of Bahco, here are a couple of interesting oldies. You can tell they made a high quality adjustable going way back.

- No. 1, 6” wrench circa 1890’s

- No. 71/72 double end, made as late as the early 1950’s from what I read.

Not gonna lie........I'm not a big fan of the Craftsman channels. Seems like most everyone in the trades uses the Channellock brand. I have had people give me their Channels at work when the slip groove gets clogged up with pipe dope and stuff.......run a wire brush through grooves and they work fine.

Well, me again. This time just collectibles, because quality of these wrenches is poor.

Lovely, and I'm not normally a fan of "industrial black" tools.

- Italian Beta chromed and black
Interesting. Obviously, I like the chrome over the "industrial black". Curious how the curved handle shape would fit and feel in my hand.

- Spanish IRIMO chromed - not Spain but China made some cheap series :(
Belongs in the "Dollar Bin" at the auto parts store; or in the tool section of Walmart.

- classic Bahco Ergo chromed
Gorgeous! I know the soft grip is going to look terrible or just plain disintegrate in ten years--which is why I don't generally like soft-grip tools. But when new...that's my pick of the five, with the 'Willie a close second.

As is, I'll keep my mostly-ancient-Proto satin-chromed adjustables, thanks very much.

Got one of these 2nd hand, not cheap but in good condition. Very rare, never seen a wrench like this before.
Must've come from HF, because it really doesn't hold on to the bolt head at all. Not good enough for a "you ****"...

You're just not applying enough effort to make it work. You need to slide the jaws firm against the bolt head, nice & tight, hold it right there tight with your thumb, tighten that thumb screw near the watch face, (no, its not to wind it); when it's tightened up it helps hold the jaws tight in place (this is important). Then you need to make sure you hold that wrench way down at the very end, farther down than shown in the pic to get max leverage and then give it a good yank. Do it that way and you'll be right as rain.

Don't forget, the jaws are hardened and very high quality.

Omg, i have one of these, dunno why tbh, stayed in my tool box for probably 10 years or more i then found a use for it, and broke it the same day [emoji1787][emoji23][emoji1787]
I don't know if this has been on here, but it's the first time I've seen one. A crow foot adjustable. They come in half inch also. From England only?

Make sure it came with accessories, either a bag of sand or metal shavings.

Apply like you would oil.
