Wow, you have quite a large monetary investment in brass valves and fittings on that thing.I am sure it works well though, and it will probably outlive all of us.
On the water tank? A lot less than you might think. I did replace ALL the galvanize pipe and fittings with brass, as you get a certain amount of rust. and at one time I had it all polished up shiny... I had some extra fittings in that pic as I was experimenting a bit with the setup. It's been simplified up top, and I've since added a small "tap" I'd picked up from an old coffee urn so I can fill a pot or cup quickly.
It evolves as I get different ideas for making it a more versatile setup. the second most favorite tweak is extending it tall and heating the water for hot showers in camp. (#1` is away having running water and usually warm as we will sit the tank next to the fire, or out in the sun to heat. It's hit 105 deg F in the sun alone on a sunny day)
I am sure it works well though, and it will probably outlive all of us.
