Thanks, guys. I saw this at the recent SEMA show, and knew I needed to get pix for my GJ buddies. But I was hurrying to get to a client meeting, and had to snap those pix quickly. Unfortunately reflections obscured the logo somewhat.

This may be my favorite carry box and it falls in the Heritage category. It's been with my car and I for a while.

I sold one like that last year 3bay, I'm still kicking myself in the ***.

 Hope you got some good dollars for parting with it. Way to spread the Heritage love for someone else to enjoy nontheless.

That's a nice set but I bet it hurts your gas mileage.

Yeah, this replaced the Kennedy. Actually it was there before the Kennedy and then I brought it back.
In the truck is where I feel the gas pump slap so I only keep a light set in the plastic case. That has gotten heavier over time too. :)

I wish you would have mentioned needing some sooner, I sold a set with a wood lathe not too long ago that I would have given you. I have a set of nice Craftsman now but they are newer, I just like those cause logo matches my lathe

The "heritage Logo" is definitely a favorite as well, here are a couple of mine for the thread.

Recently cleaned up. and partially redone, I kept the interior as found.

That's one machine still on my list Bisley, be sure to post progress!!

Mine too! I saw one the other week for $125. I don't have the room, otherwise it would have come home with me.

On a side note, can we start making a list of the correct colors and finishes - and what works for a close match?

Does that count as a heritage logo or just a long C? Actually spoke with my brother about getting that back this evening as he has been storing it for me for quite a few years now.

Some Long C are Heritage Badged but some preclude the Heritage Badge. My lathe has a Long C label and a Heritage badge but the shaper I have is only Long C.

I am new here, but Been acquiring tools for 30 years. Here's a Craftsman Heritage start for me. A wall mount tool cabinet, apron, and a sharpening stone. How many of you have ever seen the apron?

I thought about starting a thread on that topic. Something along the lines of lauver's Cman date code thread, where the first post would be updated as new paints are confirmed. I never got around to it because I realized that I would have to be the one to do the updating. I'm not that committed.

On that note (and related to the Heritage Logo). I have a project in pieces, waiting on the right paint. Other than Rustolium's Hammered Gold, does anyone know of a good match for Cman's Power Bronze in a spray can without the hammered finish ?

I'd check the duplicolor isle at autozone!

I'd really like to find a decent match for the earlier grayish-blue textured paint.

I have found an almost perfect match for the power bronze it is X-O rust from ace true value and here is a sample. the first pic of the saw is the original color.

I sold X-O Rust for years and I'm not familiar with that color. What is the color number (XO-**) ? I have the color chart, but none of the chips look like that. Could be my eyes .

Your saw turned out great !

OBTW - XO Rust is True Value's house brand, Ace doesn't have access to it. ;)
