I finished up the 5176. I thought for a few minutes that I had acquired on of each type of heritage vise until I went through Outlaws thread. There are some rare specimens on the last page! I guess I'll keep hunting.
Ya I don't know why I thought it would be that easy lol. I'll call it good once I find that heritage 5168.The whole RI series 5160-5168 (at least 5166) wore heritage badges in the 1950s.
And don't forget the made in england ParamosYa I don't know why I thought it would be that easy lol. I'll call it good once I find that heritage 5168.
Such a rare accessory. So cool! Was it you who asked about a drill press with the cover on the craftsman face book page ? It was me who said "don't walk, run to buy it "
Not me. The moment I saw it I recognized what it was and contacted the PO. I knew what it was solely because of FrankLee's Craftsman drill press thread -of course he has one! It took 3 days to pick it up because of the PO's schedule. But the day/time he said he was ready, I was out the house in 5 minutes.Such a rare accessory. So cool! I don’t know who made them for sure, but I have found a bunch of them!Nice work, Hoorn!!
Here is a wrench I picked up a few days ago. Besides the PO's initials (EF) there are no other marks, forged or stamped, to indicate the manufacturer. This looks like the classic Moore Drop Forge wrench, but no =v=. Alloy Artifacts has a =Craftsman= combo without a maker's mark but with the size on the raised panel and they are silent on possible forging dates.
Can anyone tell me if this might be a prototype or is it just something that's out there but I've never noticed before?
