Yup, all Craftsman. I like the stand as well even though it's a Delta. The PO is a cabinet maker and he refurbed the shaper and made the drawers for the stand. Drawers are stocked with a good number of boxed cutters.

Wow nice haul man. I love all the handles on that period equipment. Very lathe like. If you get a chance at some point could you get a pic of that white circle label under the cool oval riveted badge? That stand looks perfect too.

Yet another beauty Ed. I'm as impressed as much with your ability to FIND those things as I am with your skill in bringing them back to life.

Picked this up today off CL for $100.
Could not believe my luck as far as all the accessories. The table lift will be restored and most likely go on my 150. Rare full pulley cover, hi-low center pulley, and still had original grease ****** cap.
P/O painted the column red "so that it would not rust"

Great find! I'm reporting you for theft at that price, particularly with the Atlas lift. With the gray paint, ratcheting spindle spring and the "catch" bracket to support the pulley cover when it's open, I'd call that a 42 or later war dog. Does the logo say "Master Craftsman" or just "Craftsman"? I'd guess the latter. Hard to tell from the pics but the motor looks like a later model. Regardless, fantastic piece of history you brought home there!

Thanks. Just Craftsman. I'm pretty happy with this find. And good eye, it's a 1950 motor that runs silky smooth.

I've seen these before, and there happens to be one for sale in my area currently. What is it about a particular machine that qualifies it as a "Master Craftsman"?

In looking over this drill press, there does not seem to be any outward difference between the one I have, except of course for the optional MSA and table lift on mine.

I just got this plane back that I’d loaned to a co worker pre Covid. It’s an 18” long corrugated plane, with the geometric C I think it’s called.

It has a few cohorts as well with similar but different logos, from a few years back. This is 2nd from right.

Hoorn: The "Master Craftsman" badges seem to be an early marketing ploy similar to the later "Super Duty", "Craftsman Commercial", and "Sears Best" labels of later years. I researched it in the catalogs once, as I recall it ran from 36-40 or thereabouts (its early and my brain hasn't fully kicked in yet). They'd put a special name on their heaviest duty tools.

This is the support bracket I was talking about. The bracket is the only change to the optional pulley cover I can find that seems to have occurred around 40/41 or so.

RTM: Nice line up of hand planes!

Managed to piece together this Craftsman amber handle set from 1939. This is easiest set to assemble I guess since it didn't include the 3/8" ratchet. Still looking for that one :eyecrazy:

Those "Super Crafty" sets are pretty interesting. My favorite detail is the little glass vile they include that holds extra brushes for the motor. Nice find.

I purchased this socket set. Ratchets are unmarked, 3/8" and 1/2" drive. Possibly made by Plomb(?). Majority of sockets are 1/2" drive, some 3/8 and I think also one 1/4" drive.
There seems to be two different kinds of sockets - Craftsman BE and another unmarked kind.
The box has a leather handle.
Any catalog identification appreciated!

New addition for the punch/chisel drawer. I don't think any of these have ever met a hammer.

Needed another one of these old king seeley's like i need a hole in the head....but with jointer, stand, and another couple bits i rarely see...couldnt pass up $50. Long C marked pulleys and looks like factory option double pulley brackets to run the jointer and table off one motor. Couldnt say no.

I know machines aren't featured a lot in here so I won't flood the thread with them but I gotta share my PA load. Got it home today. All of the machines are complete except for the WT bandsaw missing the front blade guard, I just have some of the parts off for travel. I'm relieved to have it all home, most of it lived in my hotel room which got some odd looks from housekeeping. I now have enough motors to outfit all of my DPs with period correct motors. The wall cab is a carpenters version. This is the first prewar machine lamp I've run across although the shade is a later replacement. Had a fun time up there.

I am speechless right now...a you **** doesn't even cover it...:bowdown::bowdown:  Machines most certainly need to be covered more ! The sander, band saw and that rolling base  Seriously, the vacuum was felt on the other side of the united states !

Thanks Smokes. The rolling base is a Delta but looks good with the machine. The OP is a cabinetmaker by profession and made the drawers. The drawers are loaded with cutter heads in the original cardboard boxes or tubes. I haven't had a chance to do anything with this stuff yet other than test the motors. All run (always a relief to find out I don't have any bad flat capacitors). I'm working on a DP now but when I'd done with that I plan to get the WT bandsaw ship shape and mover my Heritage 103 bandsaw on to another home.
