That was my first guess as well.. After a couple hours looking at linesman pliers the kraeuter seems to be a match....

Look at the stamp and part number on the head. The layout is identical to the kraeuter. Similar knurling as well depending on the year.

That works for me. I was going by the handle pattern but I can’t lay my hands on the tool for further comparison. I wonder where I put that? I have a couple of Kraeuters but I’d have to find them too.

Here are a couple of Kraeuters that probably further prove your point.

Horrible lighting for the pics but it was a long day. I brought this early bottom chest home today, thanks to the efforts of two other collectors. One picked the box up for me in Colorado, and the other ferried it halfway across the country for me. I already had the matching top chest. Both chests have the oval waterslide Long C logo, neither has drawer slides. Both are in great original condition.

JoCo, would this be a box in Co Springs, about last Nov? Had a line on one, guy wrote it was buried behind stuff and cleaning estate, then went ghost on me. If so, at least I know what happened to it!

Dang, that looks good from here! What are you going to do with it? Blow the dust off? Can’t imagine there will be much clean up! Glad it worked out to grab it

Thanks gents. Smokes, just a wipe down and a coat of wax for this one. This'll be the easiest clean up of a box to date for me. Cruzan, this is more than likely the same box. I didn't have any dealings with the estate seller of this thing. A buddy snagged this with me in mind and was in his possession by the time I found out about it.

Looks great. Glad to know what happened to it, and that it went to someone who would appreciate it. Karma worked out for me anyway, as I was going to put the benchtop Mohawk DP I have on it, but then I found the floor model!

Would love to see some better pics when it is cleaned up.

Thanks sawdust! I was very fortunate to find those boxes only thing is that they are empty. I still haven’t found some minty pliers for them. Any help or photos of samples would be greatly appreciated.

Detail of the nested diamond grips that Smokes mentioned. Those boxes are great artifacts even if they are empty. Yes, I did wrap up my Thanksgiving by painting the laundry room in order to fend off the food coma.
