I've gotten one of these at work almost yearly for a while, but finally was able to have one outside of it. My previous boss still received one at his new job and doesn't need it, so it'll live in the shop!

Man, you guys are really stirring up some memories!! The next thing we’ll be looking for is a set of Thomas Registers!! Amazing what we had to do before the internet!🤪😜

Ha! After the internet came into being, we stacked up the old TRs and used them as monitor stands. Of course, almost no one under 40 knows WTF we're talking about :ROFLMAO:

Ha, well I'm 32, so I had to look that one up 😂. I do mostly use the Internet now, but I still have dozens of catalogs, Grainger, MSC, Carr-Lane, 80/20, etc that I'll reference from time to time. Up until a few years ago for my job, computers with outside Internet was scarce, so catalogs were a mainstay for our group.

Had to run to HF for some zip ties this morning. Ended up with these 2 as well. Very much like the Braun model, with a few subtle variations. Seem very solid.

What got me sticking with the new, folding Braun is being able to swap 18650 batteries out with ease. I've already got a charger and extra batteries.

I have a Braun as well. The thing I noticed about the Braun is that the arm is more reticulated. I do think the Icon is a bit more sturdy, even the USB cable is beefier.

I have one, and it isn't my favorite thing ever because the button control is a bit awkward to me, but it is sturdy, bright, and the magnet is nice and strong.

After losing screws, small tools, and various other small parts, I thought these magnetic bowls might come in handy and put an end to missing parts. They are about 6” by 3’ with a small divider In the front.

The digital tire inflator seems to be the choice today for airing up tires. Thought I’d give it a try.

Got this in the other day. It's an oxycilic acid vaporizer for treating my honey bee hives for mites when they are at minimum population and eggs before spring and winter. Runs off my dewalt batteries. I treated my 6 hives in the time it took me to do 2 hives with my old 12v wand lugging a 12v car battery around. Much more back friendly.

Went up to the Grizzly Warehouse/Showroom in Bellingham, you know, to "just look around". I ended up picking up this 12" variable speed bench drill press from the scratch and dent room in the back. It was the 1st production sample for that model. I'll have to go through and check alignments, etc and get a chuck key, but for about 60% off, I'll take that as a win  PXL_20240213_184238105.jpg

A tiny pipe wrench

and a new dental scraper

I know nothing of dentistry, but this particular scraper thing is really handy for removing caulk. I’ve worn the hooks off of the one I had been using.

Some wrenches/spanners arrived today and last week.
1. Some Indian made Gedores - the Gedores forged in Germany and South Africa seem to have more care taken in the finishing than the ones are in India too , when I bring my SA and German made Gedores later this year I'll do a side by side Pic but the German forged and South African forged Gedore wrenches, sockets ratchets etc are distinguished by markings sometimes, while just looking and holding an Indian made Gedore wrech you can tell its different. ( someone and asked about it on one of my previous replies)

2. US Made Husky.Compared to the Indian made Husky that came in my 290 PC tool box that I bought as fillers , I can see why Husky has the now negative sentiment it does. Chalk and cheese between the 2. The Indian made Husky is a beauty to look at and hold but the US made one feels a lot more substantial and I feel like it's saying " don't worry , I won't bust your knuckles ".

Never knew this was a thing. Did you convert it to work off a DeWalt battery or do they come with options for different battery lines?

"Never knew this was a thing." are you talking about treating for mites in honey bees or 3rd party tools using main line tool batteries?

I know they support Milwaukee batteries and a couple of others, you specify which battery platform when you order it.

These are on sale at Menards for $14 and they’re pretty slick. The two smaller trays fit into the larger tray for storage. Easy to clean, temperature resistant, flexible … much better than just laying stuff on the engine. I might get a second pair for home maintenance stuff
