Have this Ratchet. It has surprisingly low backdrag and is a beast. Great for rust belt suspension work.

Not only ratcheting but reversing. I didn't realize any of the HF brands were reversing.
I don't think any of the Icon stuff is the flip-style.Not only ratcheting but reversing. I didn't realize any of the HF brands were reversing.
Very nice .. I have them in metric and have my eye on the SAE set. The ratchet mechanism is strong and reliable. My only complaint is that the larger sizes are almost comically long and didn’t fit in most places I wanted to use them. Of course the upside is added reach and leverage.

I hope so, the last time i bought any thing from HF was at least 40 years, lol.Very nice .. I have them in metric and have my eye on the SAE set. The ratchet mechanism is strong and reliable. They’re nice wrenches, I think you’ll like them![]()

Mine's been used on an engine swap and two clutch replacements. Really handy piece of gear
And you felt the need to have everyone look at your junk in the process why? Did you not have any flat surface you could lay that on to take a picture?
Never mind this guy. Nice tool! And you felt the need to have everyone look at your junk in the process why? Did you not have any flat surface you could lay that on to take a picture?
I thought this was @BlakeTheCarGuy at first and I was like damn, Blake’s ballin’ now with that watch.

I have my long handled ones too. But they are hard to get into tight spaces. I also watched the Lady of the Garden struggle with the long handle ones. And struggle in general with the pruning shears. I did grab a short handled one that was my dad's but it's pretty limited on the size of the branch that it can cut.I'm old school and still using the long-handled models, but those look like just the ticket for us old guys.![]()

I bought one of those and the small chain saw that uses the same battery, it is scary, I tried it out on some thorny vines that cover virtually all of my property that isn't planted grass.

Good to hear, I have the EGO pole saw and extension for it which made it really useful, considering buying another extension so I can get it a bit higher. I'm annoyed by the placement of the unlock switch on the Dewalt chainsaw, being left handed it is going to be a pain to use. I guess I will need to train myself to use it right handed.I've had the chainsaw too. I like it.
There is a GJ member here who works for Tekton that posts here. Hopefully they will see your suggestion. They have always been able to answer my questions when I call prior to placing an order.I'm old school and still using the long-handled models, but those look like just the ticket for us old guys.
Tekton will need to do a better job of packing the item for shipment. My package was crushed, which knocked everything out of kilter. It took some monkeying around and a few dozen zip/unzip cycles to get it to work correctly.
You gotta put it into a box, guys - the padded envelope isn't withstanding the ravages of your carriers.
The hands begin to say otherwise after a while. We don’t have any old guys on this thread. We are all veterans, seasoned and experienced guys. We do know some old guys.
)Happy belated! The hands begin to say otherwise after a while.
(And yesterday was my birthday, so I'm feeling particularly old today.)
