Sometimes it the simple things that are the best. Why did I not have one of these for the past 30 years. I only picked this up last week when I saw it for the first time.

You know how many cans of pipe dope, pvc glues, rubber cement or contact adhesives I've destroyed in my life opening them with Channellocks.

First time I've seen one of those, too. Brilliant.

I learned about this one from Bob Heine. Not so portable but fits a wide range of sizes. Goes under a cabinet.

Also sold by the Fuller Brush Co.

Is there a specific need that this will help you with? I have the regular length 1/4" and 3/8" MP ratchets, deciding if I "need" this one too 🤣
I’ve got those too 🤣🤣

Short answer is you need it because it’s GJ 🤣

For me there’s a crash intrusion bracket on a porsche 997 buried so high and deep you can’t even see it without a mirror. This will get there and get it out!

Not to side bar the conversation but your thumb looks like a heavyweight thumb wrestling champion.
No thumb shaming on GJ!

How dare you, not telling us the manufacturer of this thing!

Last Matco purchase for the year since my driver is taking off the next two weeks. The orange ratchet is a warranty replacement. The purple locking flex 3/8” is going to work. Right now I’m rocking Snappy Dual80s and I’m not a fan so I’m slowly replacing them with Matco Eighty8s. Crazy, I know but I just like them better.

I hate to say it but you maybe screwed. There are no markings on it and I threw the tag away as soon as I got it.

It came from either Home Depot or Lowe’s in the plumbing section mixed in with the glues. I see your in Germany so I don’t know if they are there nor have the same stuff.

I honestly don’t know which home center it came from because in typical fashion the day I got it I had to hit both to get all the fittings I needed.

edit: You maybe in luck

Icon ratcheting wrenches. ~$137 today during their holiday sale. Though you can get other identical KABO rebrands within $20 of this price most of the time I figured having the ease of warranty was probably worth waiting for the HF sale.

A few items showed up this week during my absence.

I feel like I need to point out something for the above order. I always order stuff like this from McMaster and I can’t remember ever being disappointed in their choice of vendors. We do a lot of small size tapping in panels and I’ve feed up with the latest drill/tap stuff from both greenlee and Klein. I swear that **** breaks just looking at it. I was gonna try a blind selection from McMaster but OMG were they pricy. So I saw this kit for the right price and thought we’ll give it a whirl. I’m very surprised to see it’s Irwin. Ya I know quality is hit or miss nowadays so…

This was a value from depot. $120 so I actually bought two.

These just in: NWS ErgoCombi pliers, Felo wooden handle screwdriver set, CP 3/8" Air ratchet promo kit, Russian 24h watch

Rgrds
That is a solid lineup. NWS pliers and Felo drivers are hard to beat for daily use, they just feel right in the hand. The air ratchet is a nice bonus too. Tools like these usually stay in the box for a long time once you start using them.

I've gotten these to be a standard issue tool at work for the convenience of down the street warranty. All the guys seem to like them, and they're an item on my personal want list. Lol. They are a little more nicely finished then the Mountain or ATD sets where chrome and polish are concerned. At least from the couple non Icon sets I've put hands to.

Do you have any experience with the Milwaukee metal cutting blade?
I was looking at that blade 10 minutes ago

I have two metal cutting M18 saws and use these blades. That saw with good blades cuts metal smooth and like butter. The saw needs to be designed for metal cutting as the RPMs are slower as well.

I picked up this radius scraper on DFM tool‘s Black Friday sale.
I used it for the first time today cleaning up the burn marks on this Spalted Birch I‘m using on a run of (4) boxes I’m making.
IMG_5990.jpeg
Much quicker than using sandpaper. This birch was really difficult to cleanly rout a profile on.

FYI. DFM makes some great scrapers (and other tools)
Made in the good ol’ USA. Family owned business in Chicago.

I picked up a couple of the Icon G2 1/4" locking flex head ratchets at the recent sale, but finally got around to converting the second one to 3/8" drive today using Snap-On parts...

Super easy, I posted a separate how-to thread here:

This one is highly likely to become my new favorite 3/8" ratchet!

Nicely done, means more money in your pocket. Instead of Snap On.
