Snap-On FHR80 3/8" Quick Release W/Green Hard Handle :rocker:

Did the ratchet come with that handle or did you do it yourself? What is the part number for the handle if you did it yourself. thanks

How is that Napa pry bar? I was getting ready to buy one but the shipping price pissed me off so I refrained.

Its not bad. It's made in China FYI... i was hoping for Taiwan atleast...wishful thinking for US made

But for the price it is definitely worth to have around. I am certain it is a Danaher clone of the gearwrench version which costs $30+ http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0014ZVU8Q/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Cripe now also has the 2 pc version which is a much better deal: http://www.cripedistributing.com/na....html?osCsid=04fcdf3d841253ae98e7d115178aa3ad

And that is the 'problem' with Cripe, shipping is never worth it for just one item. I was originally only going to order the $30 serpentine belt kit, but shipping was $13 with or without all the other stuff i added. You really have to buy multiple things on Cripe to make it a deal. :3gears:

Placed my first order from Harry Epstein the other day. Just a few Klein items I needed. The pocket knife my grandpa gave me the other day. I think it's a Buck.

Happened to come across the Snap On truck today while driving around. Picked up a few things...Some files, a small ratchet and an allen key socket.

Here is my new arrivels... I'm trying to buy out the duralast before it all turns to china junk.

Duralast 1/2" drive deep sockets. 10mm to 27mm (missing 19, 23, 25) And 1/2" to 1-1/8". The SAE set I purchased as a set for $35. However, the metric set I had to buy as singles. Took me 9 stores to find all the old style sockets and I'm still short the 15mm, 19mm, 23mm, & 24mm. (The 15mm in the picture is the new style.) After some careful shopping and "reward zone" purchases I got the entire 14pc metric socket set for just under $40.
(Reward offered for anyone that can find me the old style 15mm)

Next is the Duralast 8pc screwdriver set for $29.99
Duralast8pcscrewdriverset1.jpg

next is my new (to me) GM Goodwrench composite adjustable wrenches.

And last but not least, 7pc 3/8" drive, Northern metric U-joint socket set for $9.95 from Northern tool. Taiwan made and under $10! Quality is better then HF, but not quite craftsman. They seem very well made, and smooth.

Now Ive got to return and get the SAE set.

Almost forgot about my Titan Torx screwdrivers. $19.99 at Northern tool. T10-T30 all with hex bolsters. The only cheap set I could find with hex bolsters. Ive used them quite a bit since I got them two weeks ago and they have been great. I like them better then my Craftsman professional ones because of the handle and hex bolster.

Just wondering if you have had a chance to break in those Duralast screwdrivers. If so, how are they?

Rossco, nice Olfa's + i always wanted the L-5:drool: I've got a basic cutter from them (L1), what surprised me when handling it for the first time was the quality of this yellow plastic used for the handle. IMO truly the best cutter company.

Yeah .. I only buy OLFA cutting tools .. Had an L1 but it grew legs in Africa.

I was thinking about buying the Kershaw scissors off snap on .. But then I realised my head needed one more turn .. Silly £34.26 + VAT. I aint paying more than double for a blade thats probably made in the same factory.

Just wondering if you have had a chance to break in those Duralast screwdrivers. If so, how are they?

Ive not had them long but so far I'm real impressed with them. The other day I had a long wrench on the hex bolster of the P3x6" screwdriver giving it everything I had and it did great. It did not cam out or strip the screw, and did not distort the end. They are a lot stronger then I thought, and the handles clean up better then expected. So far I highly recommend them to anyone. But Ive not been using them long.

So most of my tools are not shiny chrome, but who do you think has the best polished chrome? Out of mine, it seems like Beta does.

I still prefer the no-nonsense, grippy, satin finish:

By the way, if anyone is selling deep Snap-On metric socket sets, along with extensions and ratchets, please inform me. Thanks.

3/8 V selector goodness! I have a flex head one coming in the mail, and a speed ratchet already. That'll give me the complete 3/8 set.
