I really like it so far - I was quite surprised when I asked the Mac dealer that serves the school that the Dewalt tools qualified for the discount. I was all set to buy a similar set in 18V when I read here about the new 20V line, so I asked the dealer and for an extra $30 I ended up with this set.

Under $300 due to the discount I couldn't pass it up. Tools feel really solid.

I had heard a lot of good reviews on the Wright 3430 compact head 3/8 ratchet so when I was one for a good price on eBay I grabbed it. Turns out the reviews were spot on! Very nice ratchet!, it got put to work before even reaching the toolbox. Was installing the snow blower on my yard tractor and it came in handy installing the bracket for the hand controls under the hood. Very little room for a ratchet but it slid right in there. Now to find a good price on the flex version lol. It's actually a lot smaller than I thought it was (thats a good thing) so I took a picture of it next to 2 stubby handles I purchased from GJ member MoToys (great guy and super quick shipping!) to give an idea of it's size.

Are you going to use them, or leave them in the package for the next guy?

:bounce:

I'm probably going to leave them the way they are. I'm going to hang on to these for now unless someone offers a price I cant refuse. I picked these up locally off of craigslist.

I have that snap ring plier on the bottom, mine is craftsman. I tried to pull out a snap ring in a Mac ratchet, but it wouldnt squeeze tight enough to pull the ring out.
Pulled out my old fashioned snap ring plier, and pulled it out no problem.

Not sure if the snapon is any stronger, but it looks IDENTICAL.

Found this in a toolbox in my grandpas basement. He got it while he was in the air force, many years ago. Hardly used at all! SnapOn FV71.

He's only a little over 17 months but I handed him a ratcheting screwdriver the other day he stared at it for a second, tried to eat it and when that didn't work, he started playing with it. Then he discovered that when you turn it, it makes a sound. He was all set then. He would twist it and look at me and giggle his **** off! Last Xmas he mistook one of my new ball peen hammers for a teething toy! Kids can be a hoot!
