It proved a bit challenging to find a non chinese vise but I luckily did find one and my timing was perfect: there is a factory promotion with good discount on these here in Europe:

I originally was only going to buy one as a stocking stuffer, but for $9 a set, I went ahead and picked one up for myself as well. Can't have enough tools :p

lol, thats the snappy way, the socket sets that include the shallow and deep sockets in one are more expensive than buying the sets individually...

Went on the snappy truck hopeful that the mini box and ratchets I ordered were in (they weren't :( )but instead I walked off with the crown striking demolition chisel I almost forgot I had ordered!! This thing is stout!
Mailman also brought a set of double ended sae old script open end wrenches I scored on eBay. Now I gotta find a set in metric.......

Got this from Sears for $25 the other night. I tested it today and it's quiet and took off a bolt that was torqued to 140. Looks like it'll take care of my needs for the time being.

Some nice assorted 1/4" drive goodies from Blu Mi C5 on here. Craftsman, Cornwell, OTC, SK, Snap-On, Thorsen, Wright and a cool old Proto box.

Bought a 3/8 metric semi deep off the truck today (far right, below the small air ratchet). I will eventually get another 3/8 Hansen tray, put the semi deep sockets in the deep posts and the low profile sockets in the shallow posts. Some day do the same with the 1/4s.

Bhh do you have a part number for that green step stool?

I will check next time I am in the garage. I doubt it has one, I am pretty sure it is just a rebranded step stool that they threw their name on.

I wish they where, But their not even close to the same. The red/blue colors is the only thing they have in common and even then Kobalt does it backwards. (Duralast = red/metric, blue/SAE, New kobalt = Red/SAE, Blue/Metric)

Duralast is a part of the Great neck saw/OEM family of tools, the New Kobalt is Danaher.
Once you look past the colors, you will see that duralast & Kobalt are in no way similar. The styles, sets, sizes, materials etc are all very different.
Ive already looked very closely because they both (Kobalt & Duralast) switched OEM's within months of each other. And Great neck has been making the Kobalt screwdrivers for years now.
But unfortunately for me, the new Kobalt is just overseas Danaher that can be picked up at ACE hardware or Nothern tool for 1/3 the kobalt price.

The new Kobalt isn't Danaher / APEX Lowe's moved away from them.

Yup just went out and checked and it is just a "Easy step" brand step stool that has the Snap On logo on it. I assume maybe a promo piece?

It was the one and only one I have ever seen so I assume there isn't a ton of them out there.

Here is some stuff I got this week.
The screwdrivers and nutdrivers are from Garth (GJ), the prybar is from Motoys, and the headphones were a gift from my parents!
Also a lifelong dream was achieved today, I was at Sears and the Snap-on man was in the parking lot. I got to check out the truck and he gave me a catalog. I felt like a kid in a candy store!
