FancyLearnin: I've got the same Wiha Soft Finish but in Phillips. The Soft Finish is nice and grippy especially with slippery hands. Love the green Pratt-Reed. Nicer color than Snap-On green IMO.

Love your avatar, BTW. It makes me smile thinking about the rhythm and and pace of modern technology.

So clean and shiny!

I am waiting from the order from my Snap-On truck. This guy has the worst service possible. He only responds to 1/2 your messages, forgets to put orders in, and doesn't show up.

What the torque rating on that MAC impact? I'm getting ready to upgrade my aging impact and not sure yet if I want to go another MAC or bite my toungue and get the new Snap-On. Quite a difference in $$$ between the two...

Just picked this up off the truck last Friday. Have already done 2 brake jobs so far and this thing has been awesome. Got tired of using a damn c-clamp and block of wood. I especially like how easy if is to adjust it...

I like that a lot. It looks like it could handle light truck dual piston calipers. Is that true?

Sean, What is it? I can't see it clear enough on my smart phone sorry. Looks like a battery terminal ratchet.

Duck, So are you a bicycle mech.?
I have a bike about 13 years old that had been ridden under 2 miles. Wonder if value worth hanging onto or getting rid of.

Sure can! That's primarily why I bought it. I have already done the brakes on both my F350 which has dual piston calipers and my wife's Focus. Caliper compression is a breeze with this thing and alot safer than the old school method since it applies even pressure on both sides. Going to use it again on my sister-in-law's car this weekend which I am hoping she forget's to remind me about.

Bass are suppossed to be pretty active this weekend so priority first! :D

I was thinking about getting the pistol style ones in single and dual piston, but now that I have seen this, I think this may be what I spring for. SO dealer is saying $65- about right?

As Stuntmonkey already pointed out it's a brake caliper piston press. The ability to apply even pressure on dual piston setup is the main reason I bought it! And the fact that it racthets make things easier too.

Yeah $65 is what I paid for mine. My Snappy guy couldn't keep enough of these on his truck when they came out.

A neat, older intermediate box I got off evilBay. $125 shipped.

I've been looking for awhile on craigslist and evilBay for a good older drill press, just because I like older machine and older stuff is where the quality is at anyway it seems but I've had no luck. And since I've been needing a bigger drill press for awhile (as in, projects are on hold, needing) I just figured I would go out and get a new one. $288 with tax from Lowe's. I measured .002" runout at the spindle after installing it. .001" runout on the shank of a drill bit after installing the chuck (odd I thought). I drilled a hole in a leaf spring leaf with a .265" bit then measured it with a small bore gauge and it measured at .267", so for the most part I'm happy with the press. The things I don't like so far in the 3 hours I've owned it: the power cord length (6ft too short), the length of the 'flex conduit' or whatever it is that the light is mounted on (3 inches too short), and the top bearing in the motor makes noise when the belts are tensioned (this is my biggest peeve). This appears to cause the pulley cassette on the motor shaft to shake ever so slightly, or at least when the top pulley (most leverage on the bearing) is the one being used. I'm not sure what I'm going to do about this yet.

And a 'shipping distressed' Baldor grinder stand I got off evilBay for $128 shipped. You can see the damage in the second picture. It was purchased this way, that's why it was so much under MSRP. I asked them to send that broken corner piece if they had it but no luck. I'm still really happy with it.

Howdy neighbor, yeah I love the hard handle stuff too. But I mostly use my comfort grip flfh80 the most.

Yeah my first 80-tooth 1/4 drive was THL72 soft handle. I was instantly sold on the 80-tooth the first time I spun it but never got used to the soft handle.
My driver is pretty good about letting you try before you buy. Not too much of that around anymore.

Either way when you do get a set you should be quite happy with it.

Picked up the buy one get one free 3/8 drive deep sockets, buy one get one free wobble plus extensions, couple snap ring pliers and a 17mm hex bit socket which was what I intended to buy today. Was going to get a couple plier racks like I've seen on here but sadly he sold the last two he had yesterday.
