This beauty arrived today. A whopping $10 shipped from ebay. The seller recommended to use it as decoration. Yeah right. It was quite clunky but cleaning out the decades old grease made a massive improvement. I'm going to clean out the rest in the morning, get some replacement screws for the cover, wire wheel the entire ratchet and put this monster into service. It would be such a shame to not use this ratchet.

I hate Cripe Distributing. I needed a new wire brush and thought I'd check to see if they had anything Below is what I got today.

What I don't get about them is they're usually cheaper on ebay than their own site. What kind of business model is that? :shocking:

beeslr, Let them know the lower prices they have on Ebay then mention your family at GJ pointed the way to them. Extra discounts and coupons off "anything" & Any price" may find their way to you.

The gear material is typically a little soft in those era ratchets. I picked up a 3/8s at a flea market for $3 and it had 2 mushed teeth. Still pretty cool though and kinda works.

Got a set of EZ-Red Ratcheting Wrenches. Wanted it last week and placed an order for it, arrived this past Friday. Been using it ever since. Nice set of tools to keep nearby.

I paid $250 for it. It's a nice set, got the job done that needed to be done. Paid for itself. Had 3 Exhaust Stud broken in a middle of a job and had no extractor. Mac Tools came by and I asked him about a Stud removal tool and he showed me the set above. Gave me $40 discount, so took the chance and bought it. It's lifetime warranty on any broken item.

Mac Tools website shows Price: $293.99 (USD)

That is not a bad deal, especially getting a discount when you need it

Get if if you like, Snap On has it's own set as well I think. Not too sure about that, something similar. Anyhow, I got it because I need it that day to finish up a job that was halted due to the broken bolt. Also keep in mind that they will snap/break at one point or another. So getting a set where you can have the pieces replace locally would be nice. That should be consider before purchasing a set. The Mac Tool guys comes around weekly, so it works out great if any of those pieces breaks while trying to remove studs.

Total price for both: $0.

Got them both from my Uncle. They were my Grandfathers. The scroll saw is brand new in box and never been used. Can't argue with that.

Been wanting to pick up more swivel adapters but wanted something decent without spending, what i consider, a lot. Found a seller on ebay with a bunch of these NOS craftsman ones. Pretty nice, machined from solid aluminum with a brass joint. Pretty sure they're rebranded Miltons. Total came out to around $5 each.

i was picking off dynabrade swivels - buying one every other week from a guy on ebay @ $11 ea. and thought I was doing well at that price (until he jacked the price to $15)

You got a nice score there!

Who is making these sets? Are they all rebranded Irwin or someone else. The 3 trucks are selling what appears to be the same set or damn near for about the same price.

Treated myself to some new Channel Lock pliers today. I had heard from someone at work they were 25% off at Canadian Tire, but got there and they were marked at regular price. Sure enough scanned them at the price checker and they were on sale.

its funny how our "canadian" sale price is america's everyday regular price.

Got this 54 inch crown striking pry bar from my little guy and my wife for fathers day. I've received ones of differing lengths for various special occasions over the past couple years and this one completes the set Of 4
