Norseman Metric

The Dynabrade composite swivel is not as good as the aluminum ones I got. In fact it came in new with a crack already and leaks. I won't be buying these composites again.

This is my first Wera tool. So im pumped to check it out. Wifey grabed it off ebay for me for around 25 bucks for fathers day. Gotta love a women that buys ya tools. Especially quality tools! So if you havent checked it out and im sure most of you have seen it... Its a Wera spring loaded "bayonet" driver. Ergonomic handle which seems to fit my hand perfectly. The interchageable bits lock in postion and it measures 5 1/2 " closed with the bit in it to 7 1/2" fully extended. The bayonet can then be removed and inserted into your screwgun or impactor. definatly feels like a quality tool as soon as you pick it up. Their are 2 simaler models the one shown 051482. Then theirs another with a storage cpmpartment for extra bits in the handle. I have used strictly klein since i got into the elect. trade. Their has been alot of concern about their quality on their new tool lines so i figure id give wera a shot. So far so good. Another bonus is every dam guy i work with uses klein so with this driver their is no confusion as to who owns it!

I also forgot to put in the pic, a Streamlight Stinger LED flashlight (love it, except it's black and blue, I hate the blue; but its the only one my Mac guy had left.)

Made another custom tool today. Made for taking out Mack transmission mount bolts on a cement pump truck. Nothing else would fit besides a box end wrench and it required ALOT of force to get them to break loose. So i came up with this.





Its an 1 1/8 box end wrench with the top cut off and a piece of flat iron welded on it (for leverage and to get it out in the open more) and then a 7/8 12 point socket welded on to that so that i could put a 3/4 breaker bar on it and instead of a square drive now i have 12 points i can go on. Worked perfect after

If you don't already have them, grab the 8" mini bolt cutters. I just bought a pair and they are awesome.

Thanks guys! With 5,5 hp it is quite a strong machine yeah. Planning to restore it, still not sure what i'll do with the paint finish. Fresh paint looks nice but takes away the history of the machine.
I have a thread on PM on it for more info.

I have been slacking when it comes to posting my new tools. I have taken advantage of a couple of the deals that have been posted here and grabbed a few things I didnt have and a few things I just wanted.

I grabbed a set of GP impacts from mechanicsTools.com when they were having a sale for 65 shipped to my door. The Snap-on 1/4" extensions I grabbed from eBay and the 14" came from here. The pick set I pieced together from eBay for $20 total. Instinct Torx from classifieds and HH torx from family friend. Short wrench set I have $40 in after having to pick up a missing one from classifieds here. Lastly I picked up the last U.S made torque wrench from my sears for $14 and some change.




Edit: I also picked up a HH pocket flat driver in red. Pic to follow

I used Super Lube in my Kobalt ratchets. They were completely dry. The Super Lube came from Harbor Freight. They worked well dry but are not as noisy now.

Bosch T4B. 2 days left on the Bosch $40 off $200 on Amazon, and I am completely sick of lugging my Bosch 5412L around. Not only is it heavy, but it's huge dimensionally as well.

Very excited, I have the 4100 table saw with the gravity rise stand so I'm sure I will be very pleased!

My "go-to" saw setup is a Pro-Tech 10" miter saw I paid $89 for which I have been ever-so pleased with over the 8-10 years I've had it, and I JUST picked up a $20 Port-a-mate stand for it a month ago at Menards after rebate... so spending $230 just for a stand was hard to justify but it had to be done.
