nice, somebody likes Bostich.
Lost my snap-on talon grip needles!, kind of sick of my dealer anyway. I've been thinking about gear wrench fo a while anyway, quality feels good and the price is right
Odd. How can they do this?I would have changed a few things, but because its an insurance claim they are strict on what I can buy... several things I wanted to upgrade and pay the difference... they would not allow it....

It just hit me how similar that ratchet handle is to the Snap on comfort grip.

I ask, as I lost tools due to a car theft, and all they did was send a check minus the deductible. No statements/conditions as to what I could/couldn't do with the money, let alone state I couldn't buy upgraded tools if I wanted to (stuck with Craftsman as it did what I needed).
I just can't see how they can do this, even if the insurance filed is different (auto vs. homeowners I presume).
What brand wrenches are those? I see TRW, but does not ring a bell. Look very similar to Craftsman RP.
It still seems to me, that you can take the initial check they've given you (or will issue), add whatever additional funds for the upgraded tools you're after, and have done nothing wrong. *****, as you're out of pocket more than the deductible, but I can't see an ethical issue on your end. Then update the property list to reflect the new items if your ins. company requires one of these.how it was explained to me is this... I have replacement cost on my contents... so initially I am only paid the actual value of the item at the time of the fire..(which they determine). so what ever the item is they depreciate it out and say you get X amount for it... if I don't replace it thats all I get... I have to replace it and provide receipts to get any additional amount... they are responsible for like kind and quality... which means no upgrading... I had a hard time wrapping my head around it...if I pay the dif what's the issue... but they would not budge... suppose I risk fraud if I return stuff and do it anyway... kinda ***** because my means and tastes have changed since I bought some of the stuff....

As per going through the hassle of getting as much as you can (fairer value for what was lost), then returning, and adding funds for upgrades, that's up to you.
Personally, I don't see how their computing depreciation in this instance is ethical (it's not a car, and I'm not aware of an independent pricing agency such as Kelly for tools). So I'd at least consider your latter idea if I were in your situation.
//now excuse me while I put on a fire retardant suit![]()

Only 43% of what the contents are worth... Ouch!by my figures I had about 18 thousand dollars of damage to the structure and almost 30 thousand in contents... I got a check for roughly 13 thousand for the contents...
Good to hear its super bright, I've been on the fence about getting that set too. How's the free LED Dualite? Is that bright/good at all?
Thanks
Why SoftFinish and not Micro?
Spares are always nice to have, especially if it's used for earning an income IMHO.Can't pass up a 90 dollar ratchet for free
