Hey everyone, new to the board. This is my new toolbox. Found this site and saw the add for Strictlytoolboxes and it was exactly what the doctor ordered. Can't say enough about those guys and their products.

Holy **** how many 1/4" ratchets does a guy need?!?

These are not new, but new to me.
IMG_5569_zps123cd61c.jpg

The elusive orange Craftsman diagonal cutters, got them from a buddy.
As I got them, nice and rusty...then cleaned on the wire wheel for a few minutes, sprayed some CRC Knock'er Loose on them and wiped the rest of the rust off.

All USA Made Goodness came in today.
IMG_20130122_173140.jpg

I have one more flare nut wrench coming in the mail to finish off the 10 piece wrench rack.
IMG_20130122_173827.jpg

And I screwed up on ordering the rack for the double open end wrenches. I counted 8 but I didnt look closely a regualr combination was in the mix so there were really 7 and on top of that I have a duplicate and I am missing a wrench. I need the 7-9mm wrench and I will order the 7 piece rack like i did for my sae to double open end's.

IMG_20130122_173842.jpg

So if anybody has the wrench I need in good condition PM me.

Astro pneumatic 33pc "close quarters" bit set. On clearance $26
Mayhew scraper set. On clearance $29
SAE stubby wrench set 1/4-1" $25
All from Northern Tool. I've been really happy with the quality/value of the northern wrenches. And they carry individuals of a wide variety of sizes.

Great stuff, Chad! I have probably used my weight in Procell batteries over the years...just got that prybar set myself!
My good pal, Syndicate, hooked me up today! I bought the glove holder and he threw in stickers, old wrenches, candy, and some humorous gifts!

My headlight came in today. Zebralight H600W. 650 Lumens (700 on the H600) 4200k (6500k on H600). But my 18650 Li-on Batteries aren't in yet for it so all I can do is look at it. No light. Very lightweight though. Weighs the same as my tube of chapstick or so.

Also waiting on my Nitecore EC1 light, and just ordered some scredrivers. Couldn't decide on brand so I ordered a Wiha Microfinish, Felo 500, Felo Ergonic, and Wera Chiseldriver. All 4" #2. Ill see which one I like most then decide which one to get more of. Also ordered a couple Knipex mechanics pliers. Their damn pliers are addicting.

As far as shop equipment I purchased a Jet 20" drill press about a month ago to replace my smaller Wilton 15" but I haven't had to buy much in the way hand tools over the past several years other than an occassional specialty tool for a specific job that comes into the shop.

My son is gathering quite a tool collection too so I decided to help him out and replace a few of my tools.

For 1/2" chrome extensions I had a few odd sizes of various makes so I gave them to my son and purchased a set of Snap-On extensions the other day to match my 3/8" set that I like so much and have used so much.
sfl6qh.jpg

I also purchased the new set of Snap-On needle nose pliers that have the Talon point on them and gave my son my old set of MAC needle nose. I also picked up a new pair of high leverage diagonal cutters.
foi2vm.jpg

Snap-On had a neat long, thin 1/4" drive flex head ratchet that looks like it will be a big advantage to getting into some tight areas.

Snap-On large prybar.
rk10dt.jpg

15eit5y.jpg

And last but not least, my 1/2" chrome sockets in both SAE and Metric were a hodge-podge of makes from Craftsman, Matco, Blackhawk and Proto that I had collected/put together over the past 25 or so years. They also only went up to 1" and 22mm so I gave those to my son and purchased a set of Proto sockets that go up to 1-1/2" and metric up to 32mm.

SAE set.

Organized and in their new home getting used to their neighbors.

Pliers and 1/4" ratchet in their new home.

I had to make some modifications to the trays in my side locker to accomodate the new prybar.
11cbeyx.jpg

That is all for new tool arrivals but while I was in the organizing mood I decided to reorganize my wrench drawer as I was tired of wrenches stacked on top of one another and having to move them to get to some of my smaller ones. I took the larger sizes out of my wrench drawer and relocated them to two other drawers where they are still accessible yet not interfere with the ones that get used the most.

1-1/16" through 1-5/8" plus my large adjustable wrenches in their own drawer.
16lmlfo.jpg

1-11/16" through 2" have to share a drawer with some body tools. These don't get used that much so not a big deal.
25ow6mx.jpg

My freshly organized wrench drawer. SAE sizes on the left and Metrics on the right. Much easier to access without having to fight through the larger sizes.

That is the one that I bought, the EZRed flat ratchet. I really could have used it a few days ago on a crank sensor in a Jeep but now I am ready to try it out.

Tooltopia order arrived today. I picked up a star/Lang cylinder leakage tester and added a triton 3v adaptor. And I grabbed a few other items so I could get free shipping:D

I've already purchased the Lang exhaust backpressure kit and the oil/trans pressure test kit and I'm very impressed with there quality and price. And they are USA made.

.

"Picked" this up last week on a Mac Tools promo that I had been eyeballing.

imageakgf.jpg

Got these today. These will be going on sale in the next Mac Tools flyer. I need this set badly when I had to make a new ECM harness for a International 7400. Also ordered a set of screw extractors, and automatic wire strippers.
