i paid (offline) € 69.95
online price is € 64.95, but + shipping

made in....? The only USA made (or actually non asian made ...besides FHB from Germany...) work pants available here are from Carhartt... i just found a store here who sells the Pointer carpenter jeans (on the wish list...) and there are a couple of online stores here who sell the Round House overalls....but overalls are not my style and the FHB pants are too traditional..... so it comes down to Carhartt, Pointer or importing Round House pants or Texas jeans....

My Fav work pants to date.... http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000A4T2JQ/?tag=atomicindus08-20

Riggs are made in mexico like all wrangler products now, they are 40 dollars. They are heavy duty and since they are cordura, they are rip stop. Which really is helpful.

I bought a Connex 1" 1/2 wrenches as I lost my good old Ega masters 2" somewhere. Can not figure how the hell I did to lost a such big wrenches? Last time I remember to use it was Thursday. As it was outside, it should be buried in the snow...

ok $40.- sounds reasonable for the Riggs pants... but over here....€73.- .....= $95.- .....no thanks....

http://www.amazon.de/dp/B000A2KDUK/

73 euros is not much different form 70 euros for the carhartt. I am surprise they are that expensive in Germany. There is even a wrangler outlet close to frankfurt. I will have to drop in and check out their prices.

How about getting someone in the states to buy some here and ship them to you. Would have to be under what you pay there even with the shipping.

I fly back and forth all the time, most my work clothes I pick up in NYC. I am just amazed that they are almost 100 dollars in German. That is more then 2x the price.

I've got some on now as well. Not the double front though. All mine are Mexico. And the lighter weight ones for summer. Can't tell from the pic ( takes me to a weird site) but are they US made ones?

I love mine only problem is almost all are 32s and that's a bit of a squeeze at the moment for me. Need to get back in lake shape :)

i already had good experience with Carhartt in the past so i want to stay with that brand also because of other reasons :)
....outlet prices are probably cheaper, but regular prices are always high here like you probably know :)

The carhartt are nice, I had a motorcycle spill at 110kph wearing cordura and I was sold on the durability of the material. Canvas would not have stay together to prevent road rash.

Just picked this up for my son a couple of weeks ago. The gentleman I bought it from had restored it. Works awesome:shocking:nice addition to the shop. Even Came with a square punch die we needed for some aluminum cabinets we were building for a trailer! Always think a guy should have some sort of celebration when he gets a new piece of shop equipment!

Got some new Wiha drivers for my box. Got some more knipex too but don't have a picture. Its all becoming one big red blur now.

Magic ring ball headed allen drivers. Very nice for working on the Duramaxs. Getting the SAE set soon.

Wiha ergostar allen wrenchs. I like how they pivot to make it easier to get them out. I think that mechanism should last me awhile as I generally don't end up using the L wrenchs all that often.

Wiha hollow shaft nut drivers. I like the different size handles. They give you the grunt you need on the big ones but limit you on the small ones. Even though i think the very small handles are uncomfortable, they keep me from ruining things.

20130316_133341_zpsd7e8c334.jpg

Microfinish HD screwdriver set. Sure wish I could get all of my Wiha stuff in this finish.

Got some reels for the shop. Our extension cords always dissapear to other places on the farm. Air hoses are a pain to drain everywhere too. Currently have one 3/8" and one 1/2" hose reel just inside the one walk in door. Adding 3 more 3/8" reels and one more 1/2" reels. These 4 reels are 12 gauge 45' reels and will be spaced evenly on the ceiling. The air reels will be up there next to them. May also add some for fresh water wash down as well.

The 14.4 Alemite grease gun was getting a little tired. i think it just needs some new batteries but after a lot of years of good service I can't complain. it got retired to "field duty" that way the nicer one can stay in the shop and not get ruined riding in a pickup bed getting rained on. The new one is an 18v lithium. Also got a lot more Alemite hand guns. In the past we have had slightly better luck with their stuff than Lincolns.

20130316_132739_zpscb074e92.jpg

After being in the shop since late 2008 we finally put in an air dryer. Just put it in yesterday. On the topic of air, I also go the shop a new IR titanium quiet impactool 1/2" gun. The old craftsman served well for many years but they were needing to borrow my Snap On gun a lot. The IR has plenty of power and I like the noise level.

20130316_142959_zpsb76ca4b1.jpg

Also traded a broken skid steer for a Hypertherm Powermax 600 Plasma cutter. The skid steer had no value to us and had a stripped drive plate. This guy wanted it just for hobby use which it would work good for. The plasma was wired 480v 3 phase so he couldn't use it. Worked out good for both in the end.

20130316_143033_zps0223bce0.jpg

Not so much a tool, but a new arrival to the shop. I kicked the floor dry pail out the door and switched to New Pig absorbents. More money, but much less mess, no more floor dry piles everywhere, no dust landing on everything, no dust bothering my sinuses, no floor dry getting into every nut, hydraulic fitting or other piece you drop into it, and an overall cleaner work environment. They work great if you lay them down before starting a major project like headgaskets, injectors, splitting a tractor, etc. Then when done just shake the dirt off, tear out the saturated sections and stow the rest away for later. The large grey roll can absorb 40 gallons. A bag of floor dry can do 4 gallons. You never get the full use out of floor dry either. With these mats I just stack them in a tub out of the way if I didn't get the full use out of them and use them for the next spill. I ordered the heavy mat. Next time I will do the light. The heavy just soaks up soo much stuff that you have to have a huge spill to make it worth while. The socks are oil only. The white mats are also oil only. The blueish roll is for my toolbox liners. Its adhesive on one side and absorbent on the other. Works very well in place of the snap on liners.

This week was more imported tools than I wanted to buy, shame on me, but they were needed.

Here are things I forgot to take my own picture with and already brought to work, sorry:

We are now required to have a separate, different color drain bucket of our own for coolant thanks to some knuckleheads at work dumping oil into our antifreeze disposal container:

orly_17952c.jpg

We just lost a guy at work so I took over his prime real estate bays and needed something for my chargers:

image_21087.jpg

Two more of these:

image_12534.jpg

Because the SO guy didn't have any on hand and I needed it that day:

Things the SO guy did have for me:

These came in today:

That's actually made in the USA, made me happy.

And I have the following things on the way:

- Wilde 36" Pry Bar from Epstein
- Gear Wrench Serpentine Belt Tool
- Sunex 6" Long Spark Plug Socket

Not really a "tool" but I got some new double knee work pants. I've been using old jeans forever. $40 well spent. My Carhartt jacket has been with me since my senior year of high school (2004).

I started wearing Duluth trading because the Carhartts didn't last.

Their no bull gauruntee is that. You hand them the pants they hand you new ones or a different one which you just pay the difference one. Of the few times I have done this they never ask any questions.

The only store they have though is near me. The rest is all mail order.

I wear the Fire hose Flex work pants. They have many others though.

Very cool. Wish I had one around here. All I run into is Carhartt, Dickies & whatever the Wrangler brand is.

Just got one of these Facom 11 in 1 ratcheting 6-point wrenches on a whim while I was ordering some other stuff from Ultimate Garage and its actually really sweet. Very solid feeling, nice smooth ratcheting and proving to be very useful.

Not exactly a tool in the traditional sense but I think it counts as a driveway tool...

That IR hammer looks nive. wonder how it compares tobthe PH3050 snap on. I knowni am verybimpressed with mine Love the quick change couplers. Looks like the IR might have an even longer stroke.
