He more than just my pops. Were best buds too. He used to rehab houses and I would go with him since about the timeI could walk. I wouldnt know how to use my hands if it wasnt for him.
The saw is nice too. Its the most solid job site saw ive used. I've used a bosch and ridgid and they wobble a little this thing dosnt.

Got this f711a today. Was a trade in on the snap on truck. I paid 40 for it which im not sure if thats good or not but im happy. Handle says made in canada no date code.

Got these today.. Can you say "$5" at an estate sale?? Couple of really great welding clamps, a Fairmount Ball-Peen hammer, a Challenger case with a 3/8" breaker bar and bits, and other do-dads.. But--I'm missing a couple Snap-On 12-pointers.. Guessing they are old.. Can anyone point me somewhere where I can complete this small set of old Snappy sockets shown at the bottom please??



(The license plates were from another sale--I'll be putting them on my '61 Biscayne..)

I finally made some organizers for all my sockets/ratchets while re-organizing my toolbox as I'm running thin on space..



I bought some 1/4"x4x4' wood and a bunch of dowels and made my own socket "trays".. Sorry--but I'm not paying $9-$13 dollars for the plastic ones locally. That's just a ******** price for something that costs $.09-.12 for the injection mold squirt of plastic..









Got these old Snap-On sockets in the lot--anyone have a few of these lying around to help me complete my set?

Wood is fine if $$$ are non-existant but I'd at least pull the pegs that were not filled to ensure you know that you didn't lose or misplace that socket.

Finally the Snappy guy had a deal on the CT4410 AND had one in orange. I figured it was a sign so I took him up on it. Came with a free set of metric semi deep sockets which I'll pick up next week as he sold the sets he had on the truck that day. Have to get him to get me a boot for it as well. It came in a plastic blow mold case that promptly got put on a shelf. damn things take up a lot of room!

Got this 15" armstrong 1/2 drive ratchet freebie yesterday when i was goin through a field service guys equipment who quit. Really good shape for a field service piece and saying its stout is an understatement. Also picked up the 4pc set of HF 1/2 drive impact extensions and 7pc impact swivel sockets because for $20 i had to give em a go.no pics of that stuff though

Went to Sears this evening. Picked up a pair of work gloves for a buddy, on sale. The sign said 9.99 but they rang up as 14.99, apparently the sale starts tomorrow but the manager was nice enough to let me have the sale price today!
These mini hex drivers were on clearance for some odd reason.
3/32 (2), 5/64 (3) 1.97 each; .050 .97 each
I can always use them, I keep a 1/16 and 5/64 at my bench at all times for working on locks!

I know, the postings for the Craftsman Industrial deals at the Sears Outlets have been beat to death, but stopped by my Outlet this afternoon and picked up the last Craftsman Industrial item they had left on the shelf. My two area Outlets are now finally empty of this stuff. I didn't really need, as I have two of both the metric and sae 14 pc sets, but at $21.61 out the door with $3 in free SYWR points, how could anyone resist. Figure it would be a nice size set for my emergency roadside kit in my '71 El Camino.

You must be one of the tool=polishers which are made of money--as there is no justification for something that requires no human effort beyond the thought of design and turning on a machine to cost what those little racks cost at Menards..

Pickup from the flea market today.. $45 for the old Snapon 71M, Plomb, and 1/4" S-K Ratchet (I have two now--don't need anymore of the midget ratchets..) Also included was a long 1/2" Williams impact extension and 1/2" S-K long extension and a cool old Stanley razor handle..



Took both the ratchet heads apart and cleaned them up.. Nothing too great about them besides them being old and work very well. The Plomb is cool--took it apart to realize that it has "3 positions" vice two for clockwise and counterclockwise rotation--as when the switch is in the neutral position, it basically locks the ratchet in a fixed position..

And there is nothing wrong with being a finisher. His job is as important as anyone in the shop. I liked your idea of the wood tray. I might do something like that because I'm a DIY type of guy. I was just pointing out your ignorance about a $.09-.12 tray.

yes, you didn't say molds were cheap, but you also said the tray was worth $.09-.12 of plastic. In other words, if I give you 10 cents worth of plastic and a lighter can you make me a plastic tray?

70 miles out but a damn good deal.

It's gonna go on the right side and now I'm finally gonna retire the red waterloo. NO MORE MECHANIC JOKES!!!!
The 205B is 2 inches deeper than the 185 I have. But you won't be able to tell.

Lastly, I gotta find an old Versa-Cart. All the new Kennedy Versa-Carts are red. If I can't find one I'm goig to have to make one with bitchin' casters.

Yes, a carbide flat endmill on a rotary tool held at an angle will give you that engraving. Make sure you hold the rotary tool very firm. It will try to walk on you and once it's marked, it's marked

Not quite sure your pants are fully pulled from your **** yet.. As if you read the post--i'm not talking about molds being cheap.. I'm talking about the product being cheap and being way overpriced.. And being a "tool-polisher" is not a "finisher".. It's a guy who doesn't get his tools dirty..
