Got some more stuff from the truck. He did not have the full 3/8 Metric Standard length hex set on the truck, so I got some misc for the 2.5-14 spread and more to come. Got the box for free, not a big deal tho since I want the PAKTY236 magnetic 11 piece holder for them anyways. Gotta match the torx :)

Also warrantied a S71 1/2 rachet that I cracked the handle on, and since its no longer made SO sent me a new S80A. LOVE IT! Wish I could of got a comfort grip model since with 1/2 I'll always have the space. But such is life.

Alfred State College. Not local for me. And during orientation Snap On and Mac had displays of their boxes and starter sets that were needed for the course. I would say 80% of the students purchased a box and tools and had it shipped there. No financial aid was available as you mentioned being the semester had not begun yet.

O ok gotcha. Dang how much did the box and starter set run each student? How come they required a box like that and pro tools? my school they jus say bring a bag or box with the basics. That's pretty cool you gotta get that stuff but Idk how I feel being forced. Like right now Im focusing on tools rather than a box.

My new SO toys...
Is that green hard handle ratchet new? part number? Thank you

I'll get the part number for you when I get home. It's for sale minus the sockets if you're interested.

Grabbed a trailer ball wrench at HF when I passed by. Installed the receiver hitch I picked up for light trailer use on my ATV. Not 100% happy with install - will be some mods made.

there's an unusual, distracting, wobble in the head though so i'll add a thin Delrin spacer under the ring in the coming week... ;)

chrome is just "wow!-ish" but the others rats will be "black industrial finish" like the sockets.

waiting for all the back-ordered stuff now...

there was also a Nupla light Handi-Hammer in the parcel:

finish on the plasticky end-cap is a bit "unfinished" but nothing that some fine sandpaperin' wouldn't fix in a few seconds...

that's it for now!

Go to lowes, put in your zip code and search "fluke 113". Then click on store pickup and "change store" it will show you which local stores have them and the different prices. FYI it is not THAT great of a meter.

Hey, I'll take one if you can grab another ;)

My meter is currently in the "bargain range" of 0-10$, so that's a great improvement.

And Cosmik, I know a GREAT fix for that wobble.. just send me that ratchet!

I received the Craftsman (Wilde) 36" non striking pry bar with reward points, I think we have all seen them by now. Great quality and value. This one is still made in USA, I heard CM was dropping Wilde as the manufacturer.

I believe just the tools that were required ran just south of 4k. Plus a box @ 50% off. It's real tempting to get a Snap On box, but I'm saving up for one after I get out instead of getting one that size, then needing a lager one when more tools are needed.

I guess they just want each student to be prepared for whenever they go out into the field. A local community college requires a ton less tools and not as near of large box, so I wonder sometimes how they deal with it.
