Picked up some of these last week from one of our larger hardware stores ... worked out at about $20 each.

Hope the pretty looking things do as good, as the tired old stuff - they will share a box with.

Nice ratchets Silverone. imho those are some of the finest ratchets ever made and I prefer the Easco's over the Cman ones because they have superior handles, at least to me. Those look new!

I'm a big fan of them as well! They are used but gently used. They have a small amount of oil leaking out of them. I'm gonna clean and relube them before I use them.

So jealous of those Easco's!

Thanks for the compliments!

Boy was I a sucker today. Ok, the deciding factor was that I don't have a set of Torx bits at home. I have the normal little 7 piece Craftsman set at work (and the CM Etorx also). Snappy guy came by today, I asked about specials. He had a bunch of stuff on the top of his in truck box, said purchase $300 and get a jacket, hat, and shirt. Then said he had a box special in the front, 12 piece Torx Set at full price, get FLL80 ratchet and 13 piece eTorx set free. I slyly asked about the jacket, shirt, hat deal, and he said sure. So I said sure. Jeez, I'm such a sucker.

Truthfully, I have no idea what I'm going to use the FLL80 ratchet for. My FLF80 is my go to for 3/8 stuff. If I need longer, I Have a long flex head 1/2" I can move up to. Thinking I might just sell it and cut the cost of the deal today down.

You are correct!

And yes, I did save big money. Bought them all when they were on sale or when Menard's was having their 11% off sale. Made USA and guaranteed for life.

Gotta love Menard's! USA wrenches, sockets, and screwdrivers. Now if we could just get them to figure out the pliers...

Man, am I ever glad I don't live near that store. I'd be broke or divorced or both. I slobbered on my keyboard just looking at the Google picture of the place.

Damm those NWS pliers make Channellocks look like turds....especially at an average of $20 each. That's still probably on the high side of average for a similar assortment bought individully of Knipex or Channellock

I think I need to make a switch.

Mostly new but some old. Got the 299pc set from SearsOutlet.com for $159. Got a few empty spots waiting for a few that were missing. And I have a little room for "expansion"! Socket trays are homebrew. HF metal clip rails worked the best for me. The length was perfect for my Kobalt toolbox. 1/4" are tight, but just pinch them with a pliars and adjust. Steel plates are 6"x18"x1/16" from Lowes at $6 each. 2 cans of Rustoleum 2X Apple Red paint looks beautiful. I need to come up with a clever handle to lift them out of the drawers more easily. And I need to do a little rearranging for usability. Total cost of this setup including the sockets I already had is about $300. Time to start working on the truck.

Nice!! Off topic questions, but I have the same Kobalt box and how do you have the key out of the slot with the draw open? That is the one feature I really don't like about them.

Heeyyy... someone else that packs their sockets in real tight like I do. Only mine aren't shiny.
I pack 'em in like that to force me to put them back on the strips. Otherwise, I toss them in, everything gets jumbled and then I can never find anything. I'd take a pic but I thin kit wouldn't be on topic for the thread.

File the little nub off the key and you can pull it out.

Picked up a Neiko 6" Digital Caliper (Made in China). It's nothing special but for $17 it suits my meager needs.

I also bought a Deltran Battery Tender Jr. for $23 (Made in PRC). My pressure washer has a small 12v motorcycle battery in it for the electric start and I'll use this to keep the battery fresh. I'm surprised how inexpensive these have become.

Just curious, where do you keep your hammers? (kidding). Nice drawer organization. I like to keep my sockets vertical as well, much higher density and can always tell when one is missing.
