Now time to start collecting more tips.Needed to use some SYWR points, needed a soft face hammer. On sale and USA made.
They make other tips? Any recommendations? I think, maybe this is the real maker of the hammer. Do you have the same one? Happy with it? I was thinking about turning up an aluminum, brass and nylon face.

old lady told she was was "lost" as to what to buy me for 
, i took her out this morning to several antique store and resale shops.
pick these up today @ HD
milwaukee li-ion 12v drill, and an LED flashlight.

Found this in Home Depot today. $200, with $25 off for $175. Not the fuel line, but still a good deal, considering I bought the drill last week for $99 instead of $180. Just waiting on my 3/8" 18V Fuel now!

I haven't tried it on a vr6 yet, but if your oil filler hole has 2 notches like in the picture, then it should work.

Scored a few hard to find items today! Aside from the Cman pry bars, reciprocating blades, and two 20" pro screwdrivers that I ordered during the $10 back in points for every $20 purchased promo that Sears had yesterday, I also decided to stop by my local OSH (Orchard Supply Hardware) here in Sacramento and they had the elusive Cman Pro vise (newer version, but still nice) on the shelf, and for 20% off today. Impossible to find these days, so had to grab it. Next went to my local ACE (Emigh Hardware) and found three Cman Pro screwdrivers that I didn't know still existed. I believe I now have a complete set of the pros, but who knows?

How do you like the Craftsman Vise? I was lucky and found the older version a few weeks back. I like the vise - but am far from an expert.

Got this from a local pawn shop. They wanted 150 but they had a "50% sale on all tools..."
I snatched it. Basically it is almost new and with a few minor scratches. Runs great. Cleaned it and dropped a few drops of pneumatic tool oil and presto!

Same here, I'm far from an expert also.
It's still resting in the same position when taking the photos and I haven't mounted it yet. Judging from overall inspection though, I think I'm going be very happy with it. I've been doing a lot of thread surfing on this vise since getting it home today, and the casting and paint on this version seems to be much nicer than the early version, judging by photos that I've seen. Not at all stating that it is a better design! Though both vises are well liked, my impression is that the early version is more desired. Again, not an expert!

Yes, they are a truck tool brand. Part of Danaher tool group (Craftsman and Armstrong)

Matco is a great brand that is on par, in my opinion with SO and older mac stuff.
Matco isn't on par with SO in my opinion. They have some quality tools but so much of their catalog is just rebadged and marked up. Not that SO doesn't do it too but it seems much more prevalent with Matco. What's worse is they admit the prices are inflated because if it's cheap people wont think it's quality 
I don't know if that's a company position but that's what the rep I've dealt with said. I have an 88t locking flex head and it's nice. My SO dual 80 is smoother but doesn't lock and I wish it did.

Got bored yesterday and we headed down to a local swap meet. I spotted a set of NOS 6LN Vise Grips in much older packaging that I normally see with "Made in USA" stamped on lower handle so I picked them up for $10. I'm guessing they're atleast 12 years old but not really sure they've got American Tool Companies and 1994/1997 on the back of the cardboard insert. Almost bought a set of Robogrips but had to resist buying tools I don't need.

Eastwood sent a few of these to review a while back. The dollys are nice, the hammers, OK. Real pro's don't like rubber handles due to loss of tactile feel and absorption of force. Waffle faces are way sharp/deep so be careful only to use where you will likely use filler as marks left would take a lot to remove. Overall a decent set for part-time wackers!
Thanks for the info. I've used them a few times and really am impressed for the money I spent. I agree with not liking the rubber handles as much. I have a Snap On hammer I bought when I was still working professionally as a body man and much prefer the wooden handle. Thinking about replacing the handles. I will if one breaks.
I picked one of these up yesterday. A 50" Bora straight edge clamp.
