I was at Harbor Freight yesterday and was looking at the US General Pro 56 tool cabinet. It appeared to have good quality for the price although the steel was not real heavy gauge, not a production box. Does anyone have any experience with that model?

I just picked one up last week off the Snap-on truck. It was a trade in and saved 300 from new. I'm more than happy with it so far, my only complaint is it rolls a little tough, but once its in its place it shouldn't move too much anyway.
Everyone that comes to the shop likes it.

yes. i have the top and bottm boxes. i got the bottom gently used off of craigslist. drove two hours for it one way. then i drove 1.5 hours one way two days later and got the top box. at 19.75 inches of usable drawer space, i really really love mine. another thing i really like about them is you dont have to have the lid open to have the drawers open, and you can unlock one bank if you dont want the whole box open. i priced everything out, and with tax and shipping i think the total would come to just under $1400 top and bottom if one didnt have a store near them. for the space and quality it offers, i really dont think it could be beat. basically, if its a red tool box from HF, you cant go wrong. just decide how much you wanna spend, and how big you want, and your set.

Went to Costco for something else, and came home with a (Made in USA!!) Craftsman tool kit, as you do.

I was amazed to see that they were USA Craftsman, rather than made in China.

Will look good next to all the Craftsman screwdrivers that are on their way from Sears (£15 delivery to the UK if you spend over £50)...

Nothing much...just a 5hp/80g MADE IN THE USA compressor (complete with sawdust from me destroying the crate it came in)!

Why horizontal over vertical?

Because I could move it myself up my inclined driveway and into position without any special help or assistance.

I also wanted space for shelves above it.

My Enderes order showed up today. The 18" prybar is a monster. You can't see it in the photo, but the shaft is hex, not square. More meat to pry against.

My humble contribution for today. A JH Williams long handle 1/4" drive flex head ratchet and a Grey Pneumatic 1/2" drive swivel socket.

Toolsource shipped them in two separate boxes. Here is the ratchet laying next to its box. Suffice to say, there was plenty of extra room in the ratchet box.

The GP swivel socket is of course made in Tie-Juan but I figured I'd give it a try to see how they hold up.

I've been looking at that ratchet for awhile now. Looks nice. As to the GP socket, I now have over 100 of them and love them.

How do you like them? I have a snap on 80 tooth flex head but am looking at getting some gear wrench ones too. Are the handles soft or hard?
They're "comfort" grips...so in other words soft. As long as you don't get one that gets stuck and reverses itself (had to get my 1/2" one replaced because of that) they're pretty damn good, plenty strong, fine teeth, etc. I haven't had my hands on a snap on 80 so I can't directly compare, but I have a friend with the matco 88 tooth version and these are almost identical (as they should be) and less than half the price.

For my purposes they're plenty (home garage).

Cool.. will probably pick up a set then. Been looking at the snap on comfort grip ones but just too expensive for my purposes

Snap on 1 3/16th Thanks to Mr.WarmPancakes!

Independent truck came by that comes around every 3 months. Got these sunex swivels. I have the standard 1/2 drive and like them. Got them for $200 which is what amazon wants. So not to bad.
