Looks like a angle clamp (it's a Stanley), but the sides that would hold the pieces are so shallow, like 1/8" or 3/16". Almost makes me think it's more for flat stock steel than much else.

I purchased one many eons ago. Still have it. Believe it was made for picture frame work. Neat rig.

How much did you pay for them if you don't mind me asking? Cripe has them for like 14 plus shipping, trying to see if they are a good deal.

Set of taper pin reamers to work on my new-to-me lathe and milling machine. Old machine tools use these all over the place.

Nice set , what applications have you come across that needed these ? I have only come across large hex in most trans

Dana 30 axle cover uses square recess pipe plug. So do the F&R axles on a Nissan Xterra. Two somewhat recent apps off the top of my head. Most older vehicles used square recess pipe plugs for diff cover or transmission gear oil. usually 3/8" or 1/2" so you can just use a breaker bar in a pinch but using the right socket is better.

I was tempted to pick up a pipe plug set like that but with no 1/2" male or female it didn't make a lot of sense for me.

GM 10.5" uses the same for the fill plug on the pinion. I just use an extension, but I live in the desert and am neurotic about using anti-seize on stuff like that (grew up in coastal AK).

The snap on set is smaller than I expected. I ordered it without reading the sizes. I have another set with some bigger sizes so I am covered. Why they made the set so small is beyond me. I think I should have gotten the Mac set. Sk was the same as snap on. Diff plugs, oil plugs, engine plugs. They pop up enough to have them.

Got a set of wrenches on sale for a home set. Saves me from bringing my work set home all the time. Got a cheap tape measure for beating up at work and some channel locks for battery cables.

Nice! Looks like a ton of money though, but based on the drive size, you're working on big stuff. I'll throw a guess out there: 2k?

Yes Freightliner trucks and the shipping box has about $7000 worth of tools not including the second impact gun and a new snap on tool box. There are minor stuff not shown, but I will take a picture of the entire box when I get a chance.

Those channel locks look easier than unbolting the cables every time.

2014 VW Tiguan.
Rear doors. You "need" this special tool to remove the rear door handle.
I fought with pick hooks and bent up wire hangers and what not.
Finally borrowed this tool from another shop. Did the trick.
I bought one cause if I didnt we would have another Tiguan in the shop tomorrow. Now that I own one, we will never see one ever again.

I guess you can call it good news. I have used this tool two more times since I got it.
Apparently GTI's are using this method as well.

Bought the same set. Can't beat 36 bucks for 30 wrenches with a lifetime warranty.

Where did you get the black hawk vice grips from? And how do you like them?

I got them on amazon for 28 bucks. They were "used" (bad packaging). They are Taiwan which is ok I guess. Most look nice but the long nose pliers dont align perfectly at the tips. For the price I am not going to complain.

New ratchets. They are Posi-Grip 0° gearless ratchets. Never tried one before, but father-in-law decided I needed a set, so I couldn't say no to free tools. Had to piece the set together from 3 stores, but got a decent enough deal.

Got the top and bottom box filled with the tools in them for 200$

Got the other huge box of stuff at a garage sale today for 40$ I'll have to sort through and show pics later. Mainly taps, dyes, bits, etc.

Any info on the boxes? Bottom is a 74 year, can't make out model number. Top is a mb80 not sure of year.

Let us know what you think after you've used them a while, I've always been intrigued by the idea of a gearless ratchet, but they seem to be hard to find (these included, I've never heard of them before.) My whole experience with them was using some no-name stubbies a friend picked up for cheap at one of those tent sale things, they were surprisingly useful.

Will do. They were made by The Zeal Tool Company in Minneapolis, MN. Lifetime warranty. In my research I tracked down http://albertsonenterprises.com through patent and trademark filings.
The guy has created some big inventions including the weed eater, massage shower head, fresh brew coffee maker and electric trolling motor.
Ratchets are solid, got a few oil change to do tomorrow, so I will get a chance to try them out.
