No...Klein INSULATED tools are the tools to use on live power. Just wait til you burn a hole through your brand new pliers.

Figured most people knew that you use insulated tools on live power haha. My father has many many pairs of pliers with holes right through them

Nice choices in tools though, I probably would have bought a US made Estwing or Vaughan hammer myself.

I paid like 5 bucks for that hammer at lowes this afternoon. Forget to get a better one while I was out. Ill get a good one probably tomorrow! I still need to get a few more things though. Figured spending over 500 bucks in one day was enough haha

kwon, if that folding rule is not inside measuring, return it. outside measuring is not compatible with our work.

also, that is a great start.

Made sure it was right before I bought it! I have broken way to many of my dad's that I finally figured out what ones to buy.

Got all my stuff opened and in the one box. It seemed way to big to me. Found my dad's old old craftsman box and everything fits in perfectly with room to spare. ( still need to pick up a bunch of small things )

Got work to do. But right now I'm lazy as you can see I didn't even feel like getting out of bed to take this pic.

Haha. I was working on a co-worker's brother's computer and got bored waiting for Windows to install so I hopped onto my laptop and started browsing GJ. I figured digging out my new tools and posting would kill a good few minutes while waiting for things to install. And, of course, it was dusty as hell inside so I blasted some air into the ancient rig.

New SK 45172 3/8 spinner ratchet to match my older 1/4 drive...I am not a fan of the newer knurling, the peaks are pushed into the metal instead of poking up...feels like chicken wire?!...still very solid, beautiful chrome, and smooth 60t action.

Picked this up used for $150. I said to myself last week I needed a long barrel with some more punch. Guess this is it. It has a Matco quick release chuck on it.

Picked up a set of Sunex long needle nose pliers at Amazon. And on a whim picked up a set of torx bits for $10 and wrench sockets for $13 at my local Sears outlet. Seems to be the only place you can still get US made Craftsman (well, non Industrial anyway) aside from eBay. Can beat the price!

Well, I picked this up today;

n50kdx.jpg

ixcn47.jpg

A proper heavy duty telescopic vice mount for my van. Sadly I didn't have the measurements before purchase, and after a couple hours outside sweating and swearing, it ain't gonna fit! There's loads of places it *could* fit, if I had another few inches here, or a few inches there, but my van is so tightly packed as it is, to get it to fit in a workable position, I'd end up sacrificing too much space I need for other things. Curses!

However, it was only cheap, so I'll just relist it on eBay and hope I can sell it for a few quid more than I paid, so as to break even after the fuel cost going to pick it up.....

Heres what I picked up today, thanks matt , top bloke and top vice mount .
Fitted picks to follow , thanks again matt

O2 set and led light. I like the light but I knew I would forget it hidden in a car. Luckily worked on the car the next day

I got some Blackhawk to fill my box :spit: but somehow a PROTO 12-point 12mm socket got in there and the 11mm was missing from the set. That's like a free upgrade (sort of, but not really) and then I noticed something very wrong. Check out how backasswards they made the 6mm socket.

It's special. For when you need extra clearance on the ratchet-end of things. All made in the USA, and the Blackhawks are really nice except for these serious issues. I just can't get used to how the roll-stamps are all printed upside down from what I'm used to, although I plan to get more anyway. Great price for some nice USA chrome.

These ones must have been made on a Monday
