Picked up this wire brush set at HF on sale and perfect for use with my two new Bosch grinders.

This screwdriver set was a free gift from the nice folks that run a local tool auction company. I generally buy from them every month so this was a little extra appreciation this month. Love it!

Some stuff for me and stuff for gifts. 10 bucks for the gearless ratchet sets, 15 bucks for the flex head combos, 7 bucks for the pistol grip needle noses and 5 bucks for the shears.

And then this at Meijer, a nice Tekton Ratcheting Breaker Bar cause I really needed one last week. 20 bucks after M Perks discounts.

I have the fixed and flex in 1/4 and 3/8 all usa, solid as rocks and smooth as glass. Have less than $75 total in all 4 pieces.

You're not kidding! I bought a 200pc stanley kit for behind the truck seat, but all the rats did was auto reverse themselves and drove me nuts. I replaced all 3 with black finish williams. I just love them!

Just picked the Gearwrench set from the hot deals thread. A cheap stubby screwdriver I used as a filler. And a vintage shop book for the collection my mom gave me. I love looking through these old books plus they do have some really neat stuff in them.

offtopic but me too, I often check out old parts manuals and stuff at the local book store to see what people scribbled in them, Once ordered a book on turbos, had a picture of the previous owners lady friend in it...

Just grabbed this never used Snap-On alternator/water pump pulley puller set on craigslist for $40 bux.....I couldn't resist!! Don't know when I'll use it but for that price for a brand new set that runs over 300 dollars list I had to. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419005294.981409.jpg

Sent from my iPhone 5s using Tapatalk

That was a steal. HF would get that price for theirs.

The backdrag is probably close to twice a standard SK roundhead. I have no proof, but I bought mine brand new and that's what I would compare it to. Some say clipping the spring helps or lots of heavy use. Good deal? Yes, but not exactly a daily user. Spring for the real ones in my opinion.

Hard handle snap on screwdrivers. So much nicer then my old soft grip snap on drivers.

Sorry i was using speech to text. Meant Matco files. these willl be replacing my harbor freight ones. Yeah they are very nice looking. And what suprises me is how good the files metal is, its engraved in a unique pattern on each file. Very sharp and clean machining. I like the bright orange color too.

I am not sure who makes them, I guess matco? But yeah Witte makes the screwdrivers for matco, not sure about these files. I could call and find out. Says usa, and I think Witte is German right? Im glad you like them thanks! Anyone who will listen to me rant about my tools I got mad respect for yo!

I highly doubt Matco is the OEM.
Yes, Witte is a German tool manufacturer specializing in drivers. That 3 lobe design you see on your file handles is something I have only seen on Witte drivers. They are very good for high torque transmission.
It could be someone makes the handles for Witte and that same company makes the handles for Matco or could be Witte sells them to Matco and Matco just stabs the files in the handles. Who knows. As to the files, I would guess they are Nicholson. I suppose that's why they can stamp them with made in the USA.
This is an old Witte driver I have. The handle is identical to your Matco files from what I can see.

And posted on the block grinder thread--a great running 1/3 hp block grinder from 1966 for $39.

FINALLY found a nice bench grinder locally. It's a 1/2 hp Baldor with 7" wheels. Runs as smooth as silk with no vibrations whatsoever. Not sure what make the stand is but it's plenty heavy duty for me. It even came with 4 new high quality grinding wheels which was a huge bonus. Seller was a retired military guy at the ripe old age of 30. Turns out his last tour in Syria did quite the number on him physically. Had a great chat with him and thanked him for his service. Truly a great guy.

The comfort handle Duralast are awesome, especially considering it only cost 24 bucks. The trick is once you get them, you gotta lube them up and then run it with a cordless drill to wear it in. They are quite stiff when you get it new. You can also cut a lil bit of spring off but I choose not to as lube and drill made is smooth enough for me. Its currently my go to ratchet for situations where I don't want to lose more expensive ratchets or where i might be abusive and don't want to damage pricer ones. When I got it the chrome is pretty much flawless and even now I can't tell the difference. It is the fit and finish is holding up great. Idk if they are still making these ones so I would get one while you still can.

The high count ratchet is great too, super compact, espically for a 1/2 drive.

I got one for sale locally. He is asking $200. Does that seem like a fair deal?

NOS SK French insulated screwdrivers, Wiha Proturns, and Bondhus hex keys. $60 OTD from a pawn shop.

Milwaukee is from HD

That 2654 is a beast for its size. I got mine earlier this week. That thing doesn't even think twice about taking lug nuts off. Love mine and use it a lot more than the 2763

Made a trip to Harbor Freight today looking for some gloves and zipties and such... and walked out with a miter saw for $32!

They had two 12'' saws with torn up packaging sitting by the register with a sign that said "open box saws $75." Well the one on top had better packaging but had a busted trigger handle. The box on the bottom was torn to pieces, but the saw itself looked ok, so I offered $40 for it and the manager said yes. The computer put my 20% off coupon on top of that discount, so I pulled it out of the box right there in store to make sure it worked and walked out with it for $32

Looked it over completely when I got back and couldnt find anything wrong with it.

Is it complete? Does it come with a pedestal, useable wheels, tool rests and shields? If all that stuff is included then that's a reasonable deal. Without one or more of those items the deal is less and less attractive.

As long as it runs smoothly and doesn't stall easily, it looks fine to me. the stand included would be a plus. Looks like it's the deluxe version which has lighted guards, which is a bonus if that's something that appeals to you. it's an 1800 rpm unit so that's up to you if it's suitable for your needs. If it checks out, offer a lower price and go from there. good luck!

Can't **** your self. Looks like a nice haul. I will warn you about the extra long 1/2 ratchet. That model if used hard will break. Its kind of under built. Seen that one broken way to many times.

That half inch is the same as the Titan ratchets aren't they? If so I've put mine through hell.

Trip to hf this morning. Modifying my service cart at work, adding the hf side cab to go under it. Putting a small vise on top. Picked up one of the new ratchets out of pure curiosity.
