I thought I read that somewhere. It is nice, because you end up with better positioning for sure. I see sets of them on ebay and always drool, but I don't do enough hydraulic work to make me hit buy it now.

Snap-on is very proud of them. But if you use them alot they are worth it. I have a full set of snap-on's and a full set of mac's. The snap-on's are deffinatly nicer and the 60/30 is more effective. But the mac's do their job quite well and were cheaper.

Spent some money last week.
M18 kit and now I'm hooked

Also bought this Bahco S330 kit for the truck. It's compact and looks handy. Sockets look very much like the Wera's I saw a few pages back. This set is 10-22mm.

Got this for a power steering pump replacement. $40. Works well. OEM brand, can't justify the truck brand prices for very little use.

It is funny how some cheap tools can get it done, where others seem to fail before you even start. Of course I have never had a tool truck brand tool fail before.

Used mg325 with a new boot. Plus, a ct8810a drive body to go with my 8850 and batteries.

Did you buy these new and recently ? Is it me or do they look rusty ? :headscrat

I was going to ask the same question...looks like rusty shafts..

Asked and answered..

I hate it when companies don't consider the environment many of these tools will be in, and the simple but necessary step of providing some minimal rust protection for them.. I won't be buying the older red blue and clear Craftsman screwdrivers because of this. If you leave them out in the (cold) garage all winter, they end up rusting.. I know chrome plating is passé today...but do something for Pete's sake...

Some new flea market finds.. C Clamps (***********) were $4 (and add nicely to the other two I already have). What is it about having clamps in sets of 4 anyway? Am I alone on this obsession??

Also picked up a used flashlight (GE), cleaned up and new batteries.. hanging with the other emergency use ones we have. $1..

I didn't take pictures of the small Handy Andy pliers I got, but will when I get a chance.

Also, got the unique round wrench.. square and hex sockets, about 4 1/2" diameter (hole in the center is 1 1/8" dia.). Any idea what it is from?

So I took advantage of that $50 off $100 at Advance and picked up some external torx sockets that I needed for some fuel pumps and figured the gear wrenches were free so why not.

Yea I mostly work on import cars and motorcycles so metric is my go to. I can think of a few times when I would have really loved to have one of these so I figured I should grab them. Isn't that the point of having tools? So that when you need the right one, you have it?

Can you still get soft grips? I was told only the instincts was only ones available. Personally I like the soft handles better than the instincts

They make hard and soft instincts, the old style soft grips are not available anymore. The hard handles are grey and green and the softs are black and green (or whatever color you get).

I thought they were. I hoped they weren't. I found a new set on ebay for $107 shipped but I paid truck price for the same driver, so that is a great deal.

So I just picked this up on ebay on a whim. I have no idea what model or if it is any good. I took a chance. Anyone have any ideas what model this is?

I really like the tray that you get with those, not crazy about the shape of the handle though, so have not bought any GW divers except for a single T15 I needed

Next up is a trip to the local welding supply for a bottle, then I am ready to fix a growing list of metal repairs
