Well my thin wall 21mm Grey Pneumatic finally cracked yesterday man I loved that thing. Definitely a fantastic socket especially for its price! But anyways Matco happened to be there so I picked up their thin wall 21mm

How long did that socket last you?

Are those USA made or Taiwan? I have some made by Crescent (I think) and they are imported. They work, but not great. When you need them, nothing else seems to do.

Made in China. Not too happy about that. I had a friend get them for me, never even noticed they were Chinese til I flipped the package over.

I haven't used them yet, but they are smooth and the finish is great on them, so I can't complain too much.

Well I got some goodies today. My arctic white Viper top came in along with my pneumatic stool. I also picked up this Vaughan hammer and bar combo and some pliers that were on a good sale. I also got a nice box from a member here who really hooked me up with some sockets and a TON of wrenches. I took some time to actually fill the top box up but now I need to find a bottom. A good day for tools though.

How long did that socket last you?

I think I bought this socket last year around December maybe November. And I'm a lube tech for Toyota so it's been through plenty of lug nuts. Mostly used on a IR 20v ½ cordless impact and a few days on my Cornwell cat4150 ½ air gun. I'm going to buy a few more. That's how much I love this socket. I only bought the Matco's since I needed one and he happened to be there lol.

Very nice. I have the driver-drill and love it. Nice and light, fits the hand well and plenty of power. I should have bought the set with the impact driver like you. Mine was the tool, 2 batteries, charger, hard case and a portable light that ran off the 2nd battery.

Now I'm looking to try and get my hands on the impact from somewhere because I don't think the newer bare tools are backwards compatible with the compact batteries.

I've been eyeing this set for a while and the boss (wife) finally gave me permission to get it. I got up early and went to Home Depot to get it before work.

And the Snap On guy really knows how to make a deal so I couldn't say no to the Ct761 body. I'm also waiting for my Milwaukee M18 fuel 3/8 that I should have in Monday.

I love my ct761. I can't wait for it to get back from being warrantied out due to the trigger going out. For such a little gun it can break stuff loose I didn't expect it to.

rummage sale find... New Britain TW56... checked it against my HF wrench on a lug nut and it's dead even with it at 100ft-lbs

the detent ball is missing but it's just a matter of don't hold it in a way where the socket will fall off (which i did the first time i used it)

The Snap On man brought my Nitrocat 1200K yesterday at work. It's a monster and sounds like it's barely doing anything. All I've done with it so far is pulling wheels (only had it at work for half a day) and it didn't try at all, one hit and a lugnut is off.


Doesn't shake my hand or eardrums as much as any other gun. There's a 725 user and a 231 user across the shop from me and they're louder than the 1200K in my hand. Definitely lighter/quieter/stronger than the 231 I was using until I got the Nitro kitty.


Can't speak to the reliability but I'd be happy using this gun the rest of my days, or at least until Snap On figures out some kind of 3/8" impacting prosthetic replacement for our hands.

I don't use mine in a shop environment, but I've had mine for several years and have been very happy for the same reasons you describe. I've used it to set 14 bolt crush sleeves which are frequently too much for a 1/2" impact.

I got it on sale for 399 instead of 499. That would be nice if they put radio in also. A big g plus is lifetime warranty.

Finally got a Craigslist score. A guy was cleaning out his shop and had this Equipto 18 drawer bin listed for $45. They show up on Global industrial for $276 and used on Ebay for $125+. Pretty happy with this deal and they are in great shape.

It's nice. Much smoother and comfortable than the last 2 grinders I used. Dewalt and Milwaukee. Still haven't used it for a full 10 hour shift yet so we'll see how it goes.
