They stock tekton at one of our local industrial supply places as well as S&K. The fit and finish seem to be ok better then harbor freight chromes any day not the case with impacts tho but they are definitely no where near the S&K. there are higher quality options out there within the Similar price range craftsman usa, S&K, sunex and grey pneumatic might be a little more expensive but I feel like it worth the little bit extra especially if you using the for work

HF can't be beat for the price but Sunex and grey are probably the best all around value on impacts Without stepping onto the tool truck and stepping off wth an empty wallet

To be totally honest if your worried about missing sizes you should be shopping elsewhere

Harbor freight is hit or miss as we all know there impact sockets are decent ive had an older set as a back up and haven't had any issues in 8 years as do many other members on here

And HF pro impact don't skip nearly as many sizes
Only there cheaper version skips a whole bunch

Snapon sent me my hutch light today. At least now I have something to play with while I wait for my box.

Just notice this say what you want. But it looks like tekton is either copying HF or just rebranding this item and if there's one item then there must be more

Universal joint impacts look identical as well

Home Depot use to sell these under the husky brand

I believe Tekton does their due diligence and weeds out the truly awful stuff. The Tekton stuff does have some variations to it as well usually making the item "better".

I have been saving up for two purchases where I really wanted quality. First was a set of Snap On torx sockets and took about 4 months piecing together the set to go with my metric hex. With my R32 and Triumph motorcycle I use these the most.

The other was a quality pocket knife for EDC. I was tired of my old junk knives so I sold off some stuff I no longer use and bought a Benchmade Mini Griptilian. Love it so far and want to get more from this brand now.

I was really thinking about a Mini Griptillian for my first nice knife. They have that great lock on them. I ended up with a Spyderco, but may add one of those in the future.

Who makes the sensor socket set? Looks like the hf one... In the market for that style set

Sensor socket kit was Sunex and it looks exactly like the HF one and was about same price since it was on sale. It was made in Taiwan but wouldn't be surprised if made from same factory. Also see resemblance to other sensor kits sold.

Rest of my snapon **** showed up. Power top and drawer guards. Guess my box will be here soon. Had to put the powertop on top of my current box, nowhere to put it. I'm kinda pissed they sent it early like that with no notice.

My buddy picked up the hf one, we had to grind the leading edge of the gm oil sensor one to fit. The first 1/8 inch was smushed in.

After taking a few bolts out of the rear suspension on a '99 Volvo, which it did with ease. Just kind of heavy compared to more expensive impact guns.

Today's new tool B006L23LBG Sunex 19mm EXTRA deep impact socket. Sounds cool... It looks cool.

BUT... it comes with a story:

I did not order this socket... it was INCLUDED in my wife's Eve Rochet order of face cream and shower gel. The tool was still wrapped in plastic with bar code and part number. So check your womens packages... you may find random tools included.

Decided this was a WTF thread entry but chose to stick it here.
