You guys totally ****!!!!!!!! gawd damn it I ordered the 3/8" stubby rat and a set of the XL metric combo's. I dun't need dum, but don't have any toptul tools and after others review here had to try some out. I hate this place  :bounce:

This is the most expensive website I've ever visited. I buy a tool a day now practically.

I was |----| this close to buying those XL metric combos as well... and I'm sure I'm going to end up ordering the big socket set because how can you turn down that many nice looking sockets for 38$!? At present I'm managing to fight it but I know I'm going to crack shortly. I already have like 4 sets covering everything this set does but that won't stop me I'm sure.

I also got one of those wire brush kits.
No clue what I am going to use it for though....

I use them constantly and can't stand the **** I get from HB. Normally one time takes them out which is fine as cheap as they are, maybe these will last a little longer. I gotta say I'm impressed with Astro tools, everything I've gotten has been a good value.

Recent purchases from Amazon and the bay. Wilde picks (thanks Hot Deals), step drill, Channel Lock 215's (things HUGE!), tiny Knipex, and a barely used if ever MAC 1/4" Ratchet.

How's the Wilde set of picks? Thought about picking up a set for one of my trucks

I needed another pair of dykes and picked up this Channel Lock 338 from Lowes but while I was there I saw two other pairs from "Woods" and "Southwire" that were slightly cheaper and looked fairly well made. Anyone have any experience with those companies?

I've heard of Southwire but I can find nothing about Woods.

Cam, you're going to like those led lights. I've got two of them myself. They're pretty handy.

Ya J, I bought one just like those from the local Ace a couple years back and it was the handiest thing under a car for little spaces. I got carried away one day and busted it. When I saw those it was like..................we're getting extras this time :lol_hitti

MT1 magnetic-mount parts tray. It's small, but handy to have under the hood, under a lift, or stuck to the side or a drawer front of your cart. The mounts have some freedom of movement so it'll mount to surfaces that aren't completely flat (like the underside of a car hood). Rubber cups on the magnets are removable for cleaning so it's not difficult to keep dirt/swarf/etc. away from painted surfaces. I will be ordering 1 or 2 more of these. It won't hold anything really big, but it's fine for fasteners, screwdrivers, pliers, standard length ratchets and short extensions, and combination wrenches. Hopefully it'll reduce the likelihood of me leaving a tool in an engine compartment.

It's missing the 19mm. I haven't figured out why they include the 18mm and not the 19mm. I don't ever use 18mm.

Most every whole set I have seen, lately, has either the 15MM or the 19 missing--not very popular, I guess.:dunno:

Knipex 8" needle nose and 8" flat nose pliers.
I try to only buy chrome plated pliers because they don't rust. I also like the thin plastic dipped handle vs the fat comfort grips. This finish of knipex pliers are hard to find-the 3rd number has to be a 3 for chrome plated and plastic dipped handles. So far-these are my favorite pliers.
(As a side note-I was looking at the nws catalog and it looks like you can get chrome plated pliers with plastic dipped handles from nws too. Ash advertises he can get different pliers than the ones on his website. I may try to order some non stock chrome plated/plastic dipped nws pliers in the future)

Got a beat up soft grip 1/4 ratchet from ebay which I rehandled and some new to me snap on 1/4 drive sockets on a new rail. The socket rail is awesome, each holder has a detent so the sockets don't fall off unlike my old one [emoji12]

That Wera Snap-On Frankenchet is awesome. I usually don't like rubber handled ratchets but I'd definitely make an exception for that one.

After reading the compact 3/8" ratchet thread I got the wants.
I picked this up from a local guy.
It's a 40 tooth ratchet which will be fine for me to figure out if it's a useful combination.

Managed to find a basically new laser level on Kijiji that I really needed. I had been shopping at Home Depot and Lowes on the weekend but didn't like the ones they had at the price I liked. Figured that I would check Kijiji and the first one to come up was this one. He was in the next town and the price was better than perfect. I got the brand new level kit and a tripod for $200 Canadian. It is an older model but that doesn't matter and the guy was an electrician that had retired.

Welp, my Trusty Cook hammers made it in today. Not exactly sure I'm sold on the handles just yet but we'll see how that goes.

I have one just like that I purchased way back when I learned about Knipex in 2007 and thought I would use it a lot but..... I have yet to use it but hey, I own one. Let us know when you use it and how you like it as it is to facilitate removing rounded off fasteners :)
